Moderator's Report

Dave Rainier took a fine win to send the French crowd home happy. The returning Allan Davis took pole, fastest lap and was second on the road, but a failure to comply with the stop and go rules resulted in his disqualification. This promoted the ever-reliable Phil Thornton to second and the in-form Hendy Nichols to third.

Server replay time: 0h01m22s

Geoff closes on Fran as the pack slow down to take Nouveau Monde for the first time. Geoff brakes hard but runs into the back of Fran. As a result, Jason is unable to avoid Geoff and makes contact, sending Geoff into a spin onto the grass. The rules don't have a perfect fit for this incident but the various types of Simple Rear End Shunt cover it best.

Server replay time: 0h01m30s

As Jason and Fran recover from the previous incident, Jason makes an opportunistic but half-hearted attempt to pass Fran into Nouveau Monde. He achieves minimal overlap before hitting Fran. The rules state, "The overtaking car had NOT achieved a 50% or greater overlap at the point of turn-in. There was no loss of control by either driver. Penalty for overtaking driver."

Server replay time: 0h03m50s

Allan Davis takes a reset after blowing his engine, but never comes into the pits for his stop and go penalty. Later in the race (41m50s) Allan resets again, and again fails to take a stop and go. Please be reminded that only one reset is permitted per race, and should be followed by a stop and go in the pits within two laps.

Server replay time: 0h05m01s

Fran tries to overtake Billy into Scierie but his attempt begins from too far back and he hits Billy on his right-rear corner. The rules state, "The overtaking driver had not achieved any degree of overlap at turn-in. The overtaking driver WOULD have made the corner. Penalty for overtaking driver."

Server replay time: 0h21m22s

Martin passes Dave Curtis on the inside into Paradis. Martin is on a tight line and in trying to keep clear of Dave, hits the kerb and moves left across the track. Dave has not given Martin enough room to complete the move and as he turns in, he hits the back of Martin, sending them both off track. The rules state, "The victim had partially lost control before contact and consequently his line was unusual. The shunter was in full control."

Try installing to the main GPL folder Allan - no need to select the tracks folder. Smiley

Thanks Bernie,
Fiddled around with it and suddenly it decided to load.  Now I have to try and find a setup.

Mod published - a bit earlier than usual and I didn't set a deadline for incident reports either. If anyone still wants to submit then you've got until the end of Monday. Cheers.

Sorry guys.  Completely forgot about stop and go for resets.  I'd thrown the race  by then,  by outbraking myself in Scierie, then sort of lost concentration.
Must try harder

It's a shame Allan as you drove a great race. For the record you took two resets, one at 3m50s when you blew the engine on the run up the hill from the hairpin, the second after the incident at Scierie that you mentioned. You are only allowed one reset and must take a stop and go within two laps.

See you at Road America on Sunday - try not to be so quick this time!!
