Leading the race when censored censored censored censored censored Windows decided that was the perfect moment to go into some kind of power-save mode. Blank screen & frantic alt-tabbing ensued - finally returned to GPL just at the moment my undamaged car was retired for being stationary too long. The most annoying thing is all the power-save stuff is of course disabled & it's just something to do with the last Windows update Aaaaarghhhhhhhh  hang Oh well there's always next season... :'(

Sorry to Clive if I was at fault for the T1 bump... congrats to the winner & podium.

Right, I'm off to hunt down Bill Gates  gun_bandana

Had a hard day at work and came home with a splitting headache.  After a couple of paracetamols and a sleep for an hour I managed to join the server for the last 10 mins of praccy.  Race didn't last long, I put a wheel on the grass after the big dip and hit the tree, race over.  Very disappointed because Nurby is one of my favourite tracks but if this was real life I'd have ended up with something much worse than a headache!!!

Grats to the winner whoever you are  Wink

Joined the server as it was mutating (I had completely forgotten about this race ) no practise at all with 66mod and just had enough time to grab a Steve Cloyd  set up and join the back of the grid .

Was determined to go easy from the start in the hope of finally finishing a 66 Histerical race .

Almost binned it on lap one in spite of being ultra cautious with an unknown set up , I passed a few spinners who soon caught me up again , afraid I held him / them up for a lap or so, me being so slow , and was fully expecting to be punted off track but they behaved like gentlemen (mostly anyway) .

It all came good in the end though when I crossed the finish line still in one peice and with all my own teeth (thanks to national health)  to gain my first (and only ? ) points tally

Grats to the pod guys , tough luck to those who fell by the wayside , now off for a well earned beer  Wink

Now where did I leave that bottle opener  Undecided

Wow - interesting to see that the championship is a straight fight between GJ and Evil. Despite being second, Al can't do it! Evil needs a win and GJ needs a podium. Smart money is on the Swede but pundits have been made to look like turnips before  Grin

I think I might have to bring Arnold and Mabel Glutbucket out of retirement to augment my pit crew for this final race.  Roll Eyes

In the past their presence has strangely gifted me some excellent results at critical stages of the season, as other cars mysteriously retire or lose a wheel etc. or drivers simply fail to appear on the grid.

There have been whispers of dirty deeds, but nothing has ever been proven as witnesses suddenly decide perhaps they did not actually see anything when Mabel is "nice" to them in a darkened room.  shifty scared

Hmm I strongly suspected I'd "do a Webber" & lead all season only to falter at the final hurdle Tongue

But shouldn't the championship table now be showing dropped scores? According to those, Goran would have 310, Clive 294 & me 285 - or have I got that wrong Huh

**edit - I have got that wrong because we all drop a zero score, right?
