Moderator's Report

A great race on a great track!
100% finished.

No reported incidents even there were some...

Server replay time: 0h01m24s

After a clean start of all drivers there was only one incident in the red zone to mention:
Sergio seems a little impatient and over-motivated as he reaches the Nouveau Monde hairpin.
Göran drives a clean line but Sergio is nibbling on his rear, there are several contacts made but due to the low speed nothing bad happened.

WOW, what a race!

First of all: Gratulations to Hristo for this great win!

But also a big compliment to all drivers of this race! 100% finished in the same lap!

This was my best and hardest race I did in my 18 month of online racing...
Had pressure from the first to the last lap  Grin
The fight with Al was a balance of keeping my tires and engine in a healthy temperature and have a save gap.
Great job Al!  thumbup1

Sorry for the absent drivers, you missed a big fun!

Great driving Cookie. I tried to put you under pressure & was able to chip away at the gap but the Cookie never crumbled Wink Congrats to Goran, Tris & of course H for the rich-tea deserved win.

I was finally able to use the Honda in these series after so many seasons stuck with the BT7, so I kind of expected an easier time, but it wasn't the case at all! Tristan was very quick in his Ferrari and would have taken pole had it not been for the full lap of tow I got from Evil by chance (thanks!). Even with some mistakes, the tow compensated more than enough for me to improve my lap time by a lot.

The start was good and I kept the lead, but had to push right off the bat in order to prevent Tristan from passing me via slipstream down the long straight. He still made an attack, but I managed to brake later and remain in 1st. From there on it was maximum attack for both of us, and any little mistake would have instantly gained one of us the advantage. That continued for about half of the race distance, before Tristan made a mistake which I didn't notice and dropped back.

As was expected, having no immediate pressure had an impact on my focus so I made a few small mistakes, plus a big one with half a spin at the hairpin on the penultimate lap, just when I was pushing for a fastest lap. I had more than enough lead though, so it was nothing major, and I managed to bring it to the finish. Much to my surprise there were still 14 liters remaining in the fuel tank, even though I used quite a lot of revs, so apparently my calculations during Qualifying were rather wrong. Not that fuel make much of a difference with these cars anyway.

Grats to Tristan for pushing all the way, and to all other finishers!
