Moderator's Report

The first race of the 3rd PSC season in S23 had some driver mistakes, but only one reported incident and one in the red zone...

The Porsches make close racing possible, but there are limits!
The collision box is bigger than the car!

Allways remember: we are racing in PRO long distance mode!

Server replay time: 0h02m35s

Even team mates should be more careful in the red zone!

Server replay time: 0h16m09s

Nicky brakes earlier into the International Horseshoe and Marco misjudges his breakpoint.

Debriefing.

Qualify:
2 seasons ago I made a very good lap time that I was not able to repeat with  a setup almost equal. Maybe I've used something wrong or it is simply that 2 years ago I was trained longer. Anyway I'm 4th on the starting grid and...without any tow!

Race:
I don't like particularly the rolling start because a normal start is way exciting but I know that accidents mainly can occurs during normal starts, so rolling starts are welcome. Daytona has been always a good track talking about FPS during the few times I've tryed a race on but this time, and for the first 3 or 4 laps there was a stuttering that blocked me to take immediate actions about overtaking the guys in front of me just after the green flag. I thought it should have been sufficient to stay near the leaders for have chances to execute effective actions pertaining the race and fortunately so has been.
I've got out of track at least 3 or 4 times expecially at turn 1 (the most challenging of the serie) the last of which at 2 laps to go and this precluded me a possible win. I've told to Jason maybe his move during our (Axel and me) attempt to lapping him, made Axel to change his trajectory and this made me get out of track but...watching my replay I've nothing to blame to Jason, I only made a mistake, that's all.

Moral of the story ... our Jason has raced while our new driver Giovani could not even join the server. Damn !!!  :-p

P.S.: I would like to try to resolve any possible connection problem days BEFORE the race day making every thing possible not the last second.

Thanks to all and...
watch your six...I could be there !  Wink

I had 3 little contacts only during this race, 2 of which with Axel (1 vs 1) without any major damage :-) and once with Hristo because unexpectedly for me, him was at  International Horseshoe coming on track after a spun of during a lapping someone. He was so slow that to avoid him I had to pass between him and the guy he had the contact with. I was looking in the mirror after having overtook him and he was perfectly on track like nothing was happened. I had not time to brake so I've tried to pass near the cars avoiding any contact.
This my point of view that you can easily check in the replay.

What kind of nonsense are you writing, Sergio? Yes, ask everyone to watch the replay and see what actually happened (lap 10):

1) You close the door on Axel in the slow right hander and the two of you make contact which costs you a place and slows you down, dropping you 1-2 secs behind him.
2) Further in front I get hit by the backmarker and get spun around onto the track, and once my car stops spinning, it is still on track, on the left side, pointing in the right direction. I begin to accelerate immediately, keeping the ideal line on the right perfectly open. Axel goes through.
3) During all that, you have a clear view ahead of you, you can see what is going on for some 3-4 seconds before you arrive at the scene and instead of going behind Axel on the right, you choose to go between my car and the backmarker who does a bad rejoin on the left.

Get your facts straight before you post...

I had cars behind me (I heard their engines) and I thought that remaining in almost a straight line had to be the better thing to do instead to change line and hitting someone else due to lack of external perception. Obviously have a contact with you has been not my biggest desire but...at debriefing I can say that the problem that arose having choosen to pass between you and the backmarker has been the minor problem that could happen to me, to you and to the rest of the company near us as well.

1) in case, I should expect a claim from Axel, securely not from you.
2) you made all possible to make your race worst...and at last you had succesful. Why did you hit the backmarker again ? Must you repeat the things twice to be secure that there is a problem ?

When you get me involved in claims that make no sense and which turn facts around in an attempt to present you as the victim and me as the bad guy, I won't keep quiet. Don't force me to Fraps a video from your onboard so everyone would see it was completely your fault about what happened and you had all the time and chances to escape getting into trouble.

Not only I never did a rejoin as you claim, because I never left off the track in the first place, but you also drove completely towards my back from a long distance without changing direction, as if I wasn't there, even though you could see clearly where my car was, where Axel went and where the backmarker was. Not only that, but you could either slow down a bit or just go to the right and thus pass safely, like Axel did. I had completely no control over the situation, having just been spun around and going at slow speed, so I did what was natural - hold my line and accelerate forward. What did you expect, get off the track for you?  Roll Eyes

As for your second remark, you either really have no idea what goes on on the track or you're just pretending so you can blame me. I left more than enough room for the backmarker and kept the inside of the corner. He didn't stick to his line and instead just turn into me on the exit. Then afterwards when I was just accelerating, he rejoined across the track and right into my path, making contact again. While I did mistakes later on that compromised my race, that was definitely not one of them...

Hristo I finally realized that to have a decent discussion with you I should take a week off work and honestly I do not have to waste so much time with you.   Tongue Sad

You'd be better off having a discussion with yourself, because I'm not your real problem. It's pointless to discuss anything with someone who is not even being honest with himself.

So you find your obsession with me a perfectly normal thing then? That's worrying.
