Thanks Tony. I'm still getting the "car not present on server" for the Jag so I don't know what I did. I'll try and figure out whats wrong before start time.

OK, I checked the Scirocco files again and I didn't see any possibility that is an issue. Then dumped all the old Jag files and installed fresh ones. Tried the Jag at Avus off-line without any problems . Went to the server only to have "car not present on server" pop up again . So I whatever the deal is I hope as long as I don't take Jag all will be good

I asked Pelle to try Jag when first joining and he had the same problem that I did. "car not present on server" and then dropped back to lobby. So what ever the deal is I would just recommend others to avoid the Jags(small and big engine) and we should be good . To late to figure this one out heh . Lets race

One more update. Matt got in with Jag no problems and both Pelle and myself could see him np. I went out again and tried using the same Jag Matt had and still got dropped to lobby with no car thing.. Very weird..

I was also able to join using either Jag with no probs.  

BTW The Jag had an update and a collision bug fix. Did you get both of them?

Thxs Pelle and grats to the win!

Was very happy that I was able to join again after my machine crash - but still a lot
of work until it will be fully restored and I hope instantly that this will be everlasting  

Nevertheless I started looking for a new machine featuring Windows 7 what is not easy
with the right equipment included just before the introducing of Windows 8 (who knows
whether our beloved games GTL and GTR2 will run with Windows 8  )

Short practice and quali checking out several cars. Decided to stay with my personal
Maserati 4,5 #33 (my nickname in the fitness center due to an old t-shirt with
# 33 on it  ) which I'm familiar with although I knew that it would not be able to compete
for the podium (however thanks Pelle for the setup which could also be used for the 4,5 L).
First two or three laps were real fun - could register a new pb, but then I made some mistakes
at the banked curve and fell far behind Tony and Matt before leaving the track on the straight
ending in nirvana behind the trees.
Sorry Pelle for the bump - the 4,5 L Maserati is able to break later than the 5,7 l - I wasn't aware
of that. Thanks Alex for the advice concerning braking point at the end of the back straight - that
helped a lot.

Great series - love it. Hope we'll be able to recruit some more guys for it next season .
BTW - what about girls?

Okie dokie I figured out I had the collision fix in the D-Type file and not the main GTL directory. That should fix that problem . The race was short but sweet with a few big mistakes on my part. The first was when exiting the banking last corner I hit the fence where the banking ends and went flying bigtime. Car was very bent after that. I had to put maybe 20 degrees of left steering just to go straight . Was having fun with Pelle drafting back to the front but after a time I felt the car just turn right while going down the straight and I was already on the tracks edge so I got sucked in and had a massive crash again this time for good . It was a real shame as I enjoy this draft bumping track and to be honest had more fun in the past practicing at this place just for drafting fun . Either way fun short as it was. Will have to make sure to get some fun time before the race day next time we are here . Grats Pelle for the win and thanks for the setup as well . Also grats to Alex and Matt for their respective pody positions.

Only just to get a quick answer to this: It works in Windows 8...I've tested it
