Behaviour is somewhat similar but GTL appears to treat the Accelerator/Brake as a single axis so that unless you take your foot right off the gas, braking is ineffective. Once you take the gas off it stops very quickly indeed. Trying to trail brake into the corners I was getting 3:16 at best. I am in to the 3:0 somethings now but still learning the braking points. May be a specific controller issue.

Not sure. Heaps of fun though.

Re: Single axis. Check under Windows Game controllers that you have the "Combined" box UN-TICKED. Otherwise it will treat your Accelerator/brake as a single axis.

Control Panel/ Hardware and Sound/Devices and Printers. Right click on G27 picture. Game Controller settings/Properties/Settings.

I mean the 1st one after the start/finish. I haven't tried going through the chicane
as the usual cones for the carry straight on are not there I assumed that was where
we were meant to go.

Hmm, my 1st chicane is definately coned off. Probably a graphics setting. I have everything set to the max. I assume that if you did too then the cones will appear. Do you see yellow cones dividing the start/finish straight into two lanes?

I don't have the cones either but the yellow ones are there and they are movable     I'll check what happens when I turn the graphics up.

I am not quite sure why but the DBR1 wants to spin when I brake - the bias is set to 61% front... but it is VERY twitchy under brakes. and occasionally in the D-Type I turn in to Curva Grande after releasing the brake and... nothing

I will try and join you tomorrow but I will stay well out of the way.

I have cones down the start straight. I haven't looked at the chicane.
But I have no cones in the way if I ignore the chicane and drive straight on.
Are you saying that we should be using the 1st chicane?
I have been ignoring it and not getting cut tracks.

There is a DBR1 replay which shows a lap of 3:12 which I can match but I do not understand where I am losing 15 seconds...

In practise tonight I was getting consistent 3:03's in the DBR2

I re-installed all the game, repeating the procedure for Altbierbude lobby and the unlock everything patch.

Nothing changed. If I install the Mercedes 300SL LM55 (v1.1.0.0), I can only choose one model of Mercedes. If I install the Triumph GT6 and Spitfire (v1.1.0.0), I can only choose the GT 6 n°00. If I have both the files installed the Triumph beats the Mercedes, and I can only choose the GT6 n° 00 again... If I uninstall these 2 files, I can choose every car I want in both the mods.

Don't know what is going wrong with these 2 files, but after all these attempts I'm considering the chance to give up and abandon GTL.

It has me puzzled as well. I assume that you have used wondows explorer to assertain that the files have been installed and are in the correct place, e.g. the Mercedes 300SL doesn't go into the GTC-65 LM55 sub-folder but sits in it's own sub-folder within the normal Mercedes slot. Are you on Proffesional level? Delete the Triumph mod as we onl;y have two more races and it's not worth this much grief.

I deleted the Triumph mod Tony, but when I install the Mercedes 300SL LM55 (v1.1.0.0), I've the same issue (I can choose only the n° 53 Mercedes SL LM55). Once I uninstall the Mercedes 300SL LM55 (v1.1.0.0) I can choose and drive what I want.

This is the path of the installer Mercedes 300SL LM55 (v1.1.0.0) of D:\GTL\GameData\Teams\GTC-65\Mercedes 300SL

All the other cars of the mod (Aston DBR1/2-Ferrari 250 TR-Maserati 450s-Jaguar D-Type)are installed in this path => D:\GTL\GameData\Teams\LM55

The installer of the 300 SL should point to this path  D:\GTL\GameData\Teams\LM55? In this case there's something wrong with the installer.

If it's correct the first path, and the Mercedes SL 300 should stay in the GTC-65 folder, I don't know what to do anymore. It will be impossible to play with the Fifties mod and the TR4.

Can't join properly. I can't chat, there is no sound from my car (others are OK) and I get Tony W/Bill flashing all the time and I have to click blindly to get in the garage and I can't load a setup. Apart from that it is perfect

Sounds like you don't have our cars loaded. We are both in Aston DBR2's. Try downloading then again
