Collision fix: Don't forget to add the collision fix for the Jaguar and Aston Martin. Jaguar Download this, Aston Martin Download this

Track: Leipzig 1967 Download this

Time of Day Setting: 14:00
Start: STANDING
Tyre wear: Normal
Fuel consumption: Normal

Server: simracing.org.uk FIFT
Password: see above

Notes:
(1) It's best if all drivers can make sure they are connected before the Qualifying session as drivers on track during qualifying will not see cars that join after they are on track until they go back to the garage.
(2) Please make sure you are fully aware of the SimRacing.org.uk Rules.
(3) Driver lists can be found on the Championship standings page
(4) The AI control should be turned off so that you have control of the car at all times, including pitting. Your player file should therefore read
Autopit="0"
Force Autopit Off="1" // Forces autopit always off
No AI Control="1" // AI never has control over car
If you still finding pitting problematic, experience tells us that its less to do with positioning and more to do with approach speed. A slow approach to pit crew chief has proved most reliable.

Special Notes: None

I know it's a way off yet, but I tried the d'load link above for the circuit, and GameFront is giving me a file not found message?

No rush, I do have a Leipzig, which will probably be the one, but don't want any mismatches on the night.

Tnanks again

What I want to know is, how did Navin drive the Mercedes that fast. Incredible.

Well thank you Tony, but from my end it wasn't anything special Wink. Other than a good amount of laps at this track from the past and the fact that the Merc seemed to be in it's element here. With it's light weight and low power it wasn't affected by the cobblestone nearly as much as the others. The big Maserati was truly diabolical here  Shocked. Other than that the Merc really seemed to have a nice turn in behavior that allow me to take a quick set turning in and than you could really hustle it through the middle of the turn. Plus on exit with it's low power you didn't have to modulate the throttle much and just mash it! One more thing is some tracks just fit ones driving styles and for some reason I've always gotton on well here. In contrast one track that I can't seem to figure out is Brno in GTR2. When I am almost always faster then certain drivers at most if not all other tracks by a second or two it's just the opposite when we are at Brno where I'm off their pace by a second or so Undecided.
Too bad for the low turnout but thank you both Tony and Matt for the race and I'm glad we did soldier through and all of us finished Cool.

I am sad to be missing these. It is a real shame that the GPL Novices 65's clash after our mini break. I'll have to chat with Tony about scheduling in the new year.

These races are big fun but I can't drive these beasties. Perhaps we should set up a cross platform championship with some GTL and some GPL. Might be fun.

We are missing you too  Kiss

Next year (Season 13) all the GTL races will be on Monday nights. The Tuesday night events we run as a bonus, to see if the Fifties mod would have any appeal. Happily it does so it will be a regular feature amongst next years action packed schedule.
I'm definately going to try to take part in your next GPL Novice league, just don't hold it on Monday's!
Anyone else want to experience 1960's style open wheel racing. These days it has some good mods and gizmo's that let you enjoy GPL on modern PC equipment. I'm sure BB will be happy to give you all the info you need to get up and running quickly. It would be great if I had some company in GPL from the ranks of GTL.
