Hi,

We are a friendly helpful bunch, so yes it's a good place to start.  Also the standard of driving is normally far higher than the official races.

Regarding the MX5...  The main difference is that the Roadster is right hand drive and the Cup is left hand drive.  Other than that, the Cup car is slightly easier to drive, and tends to be the more popular choice.

Hope to see you on track..

I didn't join in the end because I didn't have the silverstone track.

Is the only way to get the track to buy it at approx $15? If so then iRacing could get very expensive very quickly.

The new leagues feature is currently limited.  It doesn't tournaments or drop weeks.

There are discounts for buying in bulk.  (3 items or more 10% off, 6 items or more 20% off)

But my advice is until you are certain iRacing is for you, don't purchase any content.  Spend your next 3 months getting used to the 'service' in the Rookie series (which only uses FREE content).  If you then decide you want to continue the best way to go would be to only buy the content you need (in bulk) at the start of every season.  Also try to take advantage of the many offers that become available and also try to race at least 8 weeks of every season to receive your participation credits (up to $10 a season).

Good luck!
