Just for fun … on Sunday19 August
Another [almost] full length Grand Prix race. This time using the Monza 10km track with the original 1967 cars. Something that should require almost zero practice but maximum staying power. Not quite a free choice of chassis – anything apart from a Lotus or an Eagle. A tactical choice – will you take the Ferrari or the Brabham with their superior handling or go for the engine power of a BRM or Honda?
Due to the extended race length qualifying will be a minimum of 15 minutes with race to start at 21.15 UK time.

Not keen on this track and the prospect of doing 37 laps of the place doesn't exactly fill me heart with joy  Roll Eyes

Might give it a go if I'm feeling frisky , but more than likely will be giving this one a miss

right, there are two tracks, one that we have been practising on "monza 10k" released in 2004, or the one the link above points to that is "monza 1000k" released in 2010 that has chicanes. please confirm wich one we will be using.

Gareth (& others),
It's the track with NOchicanes. Apologies if the link caused confusion - I copied this from somewhere else. Now corrected!

Guys, the max laps GPL allows me to fuel the car for around here are 36? And it is not miscalculating them I think. Checked the full GP option, and the game sets the race at 43 laps, still, you are not allowed to fuel the car for all of them? I suppose we should shorten the race to 32 or 33 laps, considering the possible drafts? Or maybe I am gettting something wrong  Huh?

i think you may have made a mistake or somthing, my 67 fezza will fuel for 44 laps. where as my 69x lotus will only fuel for 36 laps, you have the wrong mod. thumbup2

Well, thats totally odd..my fezza can take 173 litres (46 gallons) of fuel, with a resulting weight of 718 kgs (1583 lbs.). Just checked another track, and the numbers are obviously the same. For that kind of fuel/weight, I am supposed to be able to do 36 laps at Monza 10k...Can you please check what are your gallons (or litres)/weight figures?

And no, actually the Mod is definitely the right one...

my 67 fezza will take 46 gallons = 44 laps, weighing 1583 lbs.
i think if your using setup manager you may have 67 setup on a 69 mod or visa versa.
check it in gpl, if not somthing is very much amiss Huh

Ah ok, so maybe theres something corrupted in my gpl installation...Well, thank you anyway for the info, will do some laps to see precisely how much I am burning per lap...Although considering the engine temps I am reaching, I think the problem will solve by itself anyway  Grin Grin
