Moderator's Report

Not an easy race for Privateers : not less than 11 shift-R.

Hairpin and the last turn before the finish line made a lot of victims.

Server replay time: 0h01m10s

At the hairpin during the first lap, Bernie tried to overtake Rainier but he spun and Axel collided with him and spun too !
Axel has to wait for all the cars before rejoining the track and he prefers to retire.
Bad luck !!

This is a racing incident but the drivers should be more cautious during the first lap with cold tyres and lot of fuel !

Server replay time: 0h01m35s

During first lap, martin Hunt lost control and spun just in front of James Andrew ...the 2cars collided !
Racing incident.

Server replay time: 0h14m58s

On lap 10, in the long straight before the hairpin, Andreas Gebhardt tried to overtake Francesco Molteni but there was a side by side contact.

Francesco submit an incident report and Andreas wrote he was certainly responsible but looking at the replay I could see that the 2 cars were side by side and kept their lines.

Server replay time: 0h22m30s

Hendy Nichols made a shift-R not followed by a stop and go.
Hendy just forget it !

my problem is always the engine.
2 engine per race is the standard.
To blow that many engines you must be speed shifting.  You need to lift off the throttle when you change gear or you will blow the engine.

Excluding the incident with Gebhart when i was in third position, my problem is always the engine.

I hit the ESC button to not cause more carnage.

TBH I am able to do some hot laps with the 67s, but I am far away from doing it save for a whole race...
I have the feeling its way more difficult  to do close racing with them than with any other mod.

Hi Cookie

I really do not understand you attitude during mod67 races.
More than often, you are the quicker during the qually but then, unfortunately more than often , you made some mistakes and you give up without using shift-R.
Maybe, you would make quick improvements if you stay longer racing with us, even if this is not for win.

And yes, mod67 is the most difficult mod and there are not so many drivers able to drive 35 laps or more without mistakes.( yestersday, I am sure ALL drivers spun one or several times somewhere in the track)

Thought I had better get some practice in for Riverside in the unfamiliar garb of the Ferrari (I have a plan)... Was quite pleased with my 1:49.98... until I looked at GPLRank. Arrggghhh. I have to find 3 seconds (at least) AND consistency....

***UPDATE***
Well, I've found 1.75 secs so only 5/4 to go but as for the consistency - average over 12 laps of 1:53 - three spins but otherwise steady sub 1:50... I could be threatening 18th here  Grin

No problem Andreas ,i have seen that you have lost the control of the car.In the past I was penalized for much less than this incident, this year i'm confident to have better judges.

Ciao Francesco,

I am glad that you see it this way. The last thing I want to do is to kick someone off.

BTW, to all: Do I miss something about the race in Riverside?

So long
Andreas

Looking at the replay, I am not sure Andreas loose control. I think it was a crashbox problem and looks like Andreas rear left wheel was touched by Francesco front right wheel even if visually there was no contact.
Not easy to moderate such ioncident

Yes, Andreas there is a race in Riverside tomorrow. e
