Moderator's Report

Not an easy race for Privateers : not less than 11 shift-R.

Hairpin and the last turn before the finish line made a lot of victims.

Server replay time: 0h01m10s

At the hairpin during the first lap, Bernie tried to overtake Rainier but he spun and Axel collided with him and spun too !
Axel has to wait for all the cars before rejoining the track and he prefers to retire.
Bad luck !!

This is a racing incident but the drivers should be more cautious during the first lap with cold tyres and lot of fuel !

Server replay time: 0h01m35s

During first lap, martin Hunt lost control and spun just in front of James Andrew ...the 2cars collided !
Racing incident.

Server replay time: 0h14m58s

On lap 10, in the long straight before the hairpin, Andreas Gebhardt tried to overtake Francesco Molteni but there was a side by side contact.

Francesco submit an incident report and Andreas wrote he was certainly responsible but looking at the replay I could see that the 2 cars were side by side and kept their lines.

Hendy Nichols made a shift-R not followed by a stop and go.
Hendy just forget it !

It's just a type of zipped file. Anything like Winzip, ZipGenius, WinRAR, 7Zip etc should be able to unpack it.

Well, managed to blow my engine even though I'd spent some laps being kinder to it. Oh well.

That was a tough race.  Couldn't match Axel's blistering pace in qually but happy with a front row slot.  Apart from Axel, the qually times were very similar so the race was going to be close.

Got a good start and inherited the lead when Axel got crossed up on the line.  Wasn't sure if it was his Brab in my mirrors down the hangar straight but when a chat message said he'd disconnected I realized he was out.  Bad luck Axel.  I assumed the Brab behind me was David Rainier so I tried to build a cushion but after 3 or 4 laps I went wide at T1 and dropped down to about 7th place.  From then on I had to fight hard to get back to the front.  It wasn't easy, everyone was very quick.  I didn't make a single contested pass, I managed to make up the places because people made mistakes or crashed.  On a couple of occasions I was lucky not to get caught up in the carnage.  Eventually I worked my way back up to second place but by then David was 14 seconds up the road.  I tried my hardest to catch up but the gap was too big.  I needed David to make a mistake to give me any chance.  It isn't easy leading a race for a long time (well I find it hard to maintain concentration) so I thought I might have a chance.  In the end David withstood the pressure and held on to take the win, well done Smiley.

No Phil, it was not my Brab ...because I drove the Cooper here Smiley it surely was Fabio Locarno's car behind you during the 1st lap.

After Silverstone, this is my second win and again in England, nice country for me Wink

I was 3rd on the grid, Axel did a great lap sub 1'26, and Phil was 2nd.
At the start, I was cautious and Fabio Locarno overtook me.
Unfortunately, Axel spun after turn 2. Later Fabio and Phil made some mistakes and I became 1st with a very small gap with Geoff Heard.
When Geoff disappeared, the race was more quiet for me ...until I joined some backmarkers ! Francesco Molteni was not very helpful and I had to take some risks to overlap him (2 times because I spun after the first overlap) and the gap with Phil from 12-13 seconds became 2-3 seconds !
Finally I won with 4,5 seconds before Phil.

Grats to all finishers (only 5 for 17 starters) !

Enjoyed that. Best 67 drive by miles. Took the Lotus and it was pretty well sorted. Running at 1:29 (well 1:28.96 - four times!). Very cautious at the start put me dead last but I felt I could make progress and so I did. I was steady and didn't make a mistake until lap 22. Then Fran chased me into a mistake and I missed my braking point fractionally. I had enjoyed a battle with him for a few laps, which was a new experience. Dave caught us and I hoped that he would tow me back up to Fran (who was quicker) but I was slow letting Dave through and that put Hendy back on my tail. We had a few close laps and then a bit of a tangle at the hairpin. No big drama though - not sure whose fault - RI I think until I look at the replay, I may have turned in on him, If so, sorry mate.

I was enjoying that but then the famous Lotus fragility got me. I hadn't been harsh on the car but it still went bang. Coasted over the line to complete lap 26 as Hendy roared by to take the place. Ah well. Still very happy with the drive though.
