Moderator's Report

Red zone neat & tidy, no incidents.

Server replay time: 0h06m53s

Tom loses the car into Garage Vert spins off the track. Natan & Al were in close attendance. Tom pulls back across the width of the track, Natan tries to go round Tom but only suceeds in nudging Tom into Al's path who ends up in a ball of flames.

Server replay time: 0h08m33s

Garage Vert again. Arf drafts Hristo on the straight & has the lead into the corner. There is a warp contact at the apex, Hristo was braking heavily at this point. Arf had some overlap & was carrying greater speed but shouldn't have made a move that only had a chance of sticking. Arf could have made the overtake but was dependent on Hristo's co-operation. Blame has to be shared on this one - Racing Incident.

Moderator's Report

Server replay time: 0h00m58s

Bernie jostles with Fabio for position.Fabio is slighly ahead although neither has a real view of the other. Fabio edges a little to the left following the curve of the track. Both drivers suffer from the contact - on balance a 50/50 racing incident.

  • Racing incident

Server replay time: 0h34m25s

On the main straight Miniblood has a good run at Bernie. Bernie stays right, giving Miniblood the racing line. Miniblood follows Bernie to use the tow but gets too much of a good thing & ends up in Bernies pipes. Normally this would be blatant rear end shunt but there may have been some loss of control due to Mini bouncing off the armco. Reduced to a simple rear end.

Server replay time: 0h34m39s

Recovering from the last incident Bernie resets & sets off toward turn two.Fran catches Bernie & attempts a pass on the right. Knowing his car wasn't at full speed Bernie really should have kept left, but the impact is to the right of the yellow center lines. This is a penalty situation but would be of no effect because Bernie failed to take a stop & go following the previous incident.

Server replay time: 0h35m00s

Whilst it was a non-fault situation the rules are clear that every Reset is followed by a compulsory Stop & Go. Bernie didn't Stop so must be disqualified.

THIS POST IS FOR THE LIGHT & HEAVY RACES
The F2 series moves to France for Round 7 and the Le Mans Bugatti circuit, a permanent track used as part of the Le Mans 24 hour race. Fortunately we only have to do 24 laps. It was also the track actually used for the French F1 Grand Prix during the 1967 season.

There was a debate following Silverstone about chassis handicaps. After consideration we will be keeping the handicap system published at the beginning of the season, although the Hockenheim race will be moved from Round 10 to Round 8, so as not to seriously disadvantage the series leader in the last race.

The handicaps for each Division will, therefore be:
LIGHTS Hristo – Ferrari or Brabham BT14. Evil Clive & Goran -  Ferrari, Brabham BT14 or Cooper.
HEAVY Rainier – Ferrari or Brabham BT14. Rog UK & Phil Thornton -  Ferrari, Brabham BT14 or Cooper.

The series will be run on two separate grids; The Lights (on T7) & the Heavys (on UKGPL 3). Please ensure you join the correct race. The Driver list is shown below & the Championship Table can be found here F2 European Tour
Unlimited resets are allowed but every Shift R must be followed by a Stop & Go in the pit lane. If you Reset on the last lap a 30 second time penalty will be awarded.
Incidents should be reported in the usual way.

In line with other divisions the races will be subject to full moderation  in the red zone which will be to the entry the Garage Vert corner. The Moderator may chose to investigate any other incident, in addition to reported incidents & red zone incidents.

Please note that for Season 23 UKGPL has introduced a system of penalties within each series  for drivers accumulating yellow cards – see here
Penalty Points. Drivers incurring these penalties will receive a PM advising when a penalty has been applied & what race it should served.

Thanks Fulvio.
Had a few test laps & this seems like it should be fun. Quite easy to learn but beware the sand trap in T1 & the polos on all the tight bends. Not too many passing places - but not something I have to worry about that often.

I have to agree!   After downloading this week & having a couple of runs;  it does indeed seem somewhat narrow.
Those pesky tank-traps littered round the corners don't help much - unless you happen to be the competition...

It's relatively easy to learn, but very hard to master. It requires that you bring the car right next to those sticky sand pits and almost brush the tires in some corners, similar to Mexico.

I will miss this race as I am still resting at the Hiki Waza training camp in darkest South West UK. Maybe SHE has a cunning plan to save me from the Ferrari and BT14??

I know you have all missed me  Roll Eyes ( maybe not?) but I will be returning to a grid near you soon.  Wink

Maybe the healthy sea air down here makes me a just a little less "evil" and a little more "live". Funny how a change of scenery can turn you around?  Roll Eyes shifty

Have fun tonight guys  Grin Grin

Yes that was me well & truly killed death No problem Tom - I think you were knocked into my path anyway so just a racing incident as far as I'm concerned. Only a small contact but I exploded into flames & flew about 300 feet in the air Shocked A shame to be relegated to the back as I was going OK before that but after my stop & go I had great fun racing hard with Nicky & Cookie for what turned out to be the last podium spot. Congrats to H for the win.

I can't really believe I won in the Fezza, lol. Drove like hell to compensate for the car's lack of speed, but I was obviously fortunate as well.

Something I want to point out - I noticed that fastest laps from GT and F2 races haven't been recorded into the forum database for the past couple of races, including this one as well. Perhaps some fix is necessary?

It has actually Hristo. Tom got Pole and FL and that is in his racing record. Why do you think there is a problem?
