Pretty clean.

Goran does not see a fast starting Phil pull alongside and takes the racing line. They clash wheels but both are relatively unaffected.

Horrible track - rather watch the football (which is postponed and still better than this!)

Tried my luck just one time too many Shocked.  Made a mistake and David was through.  Tried to hang on to him but slid wide and hit a tree.  Lost 2 wheels not unexpected LOL

Keep going David you deserve to finish.  That's all that matters here LOL

I feel very comfortable with the Lotus Climax on this track.
But when you (Phil) give up, I lost my concentration and hit a tree or something else and lost 1 wheel.
As it happened on the last sector of lap 5, I tried to finish the lap to be classified ...but it was impossible without the left rear wheel Sad

Unlucky David.  Concentration is everything on this track, it doesn't take prisoners!

A moments real world distraction and the race was over even before the end of  lap 1! Grats to the podium of Al, Andreas and Martin. Despite the early bath this is a great track and I hope it is used again.

I have raced this track in the past and should have remembered the "phantom tree" on the cobbled section  after the "carousel" bend Undecided. Until that point I was reasonably confident of a good finish, maybe even a podium?

I was quickly reminded of it on Lap 1 when it ripped a wheel off my Eagle!!!!! "ah yes! that is the dangerous tree I should have kept well clear of ??!!" Roll Eyes

I wonder if anyone else got caught by that tree, it seems that it is almost a warp like problem as the car has all 4 wheels on the track yet the tree manages to make very firm contact with the car.

Grats to those who finished and to the podium.

Previous attempts at this track, have twice before rewarded me with a single successful lap.  The first time, I was attacked by a mischievous tree, and in the second, a wheel unexpectedly fell off!  So, a nice handling chassis, with a forgiving setup, seemed the way to go. Cool

With a couple of places made up at the start, I sat back to enjoy the scenery, and remained content to follow Andreas around.  Third place was gained after the misfortune of those ahead of us, with my turn coming, when close to a finish this time - attacked by another of those invisible trees, at the edge of the track. Sad I'd grumble, but can't complain at being podiumized.

It's a wonderfull track for displaying driving skills, and there's never a dull moment, even when driving solo.  Sympathies go to Hristo, who was dominant until his disconnect.  And looks like Evil befell some invisible wood, early on - same branch perhaps?  It's cruel nature, makes this place a great test of man, machine, and welding equipment!  Cheesy

Indeed Clive - some of those trees do have rather long invisible roots as I also found out during a 65 race a few seasons back... I do really like the challenge of this track though - it has such a flowing rhythm, yet can punish you so rapidly if you push its limits even slightly too far. With Clive dropping out early & Hristo powering ahead in the lead, I soon found myself in a lonely 2nd place. Despite my best efforts it was pretty clear that I wasn't going to catch H and with a big gap opening up behind, I just concentrated hard on lapping at my own pace. Any attempts to speed up resulted in scary near-misses & oddly enough, the same result occurred if I tried to ease off - so I just got kind of locked into the same rather rigid pattern every lap. It took me a while to realise that H was no longer running but even then I didn't dare vary my pace. Relieved to see the flag after what seemed like hours. Commiserations to H - dropped connections & freezes are the worst way to retire, especially whilst leading. Not the most deserving of victories for me but I don't get to see the top step of the podium all that often so I shan't complain! Well done to Andreas & Martin for 2nd & 3rd.

Hi there,

Gratulation to all of you!
That Race was really all about concentration. The front was to fast for me, the back (Martin) seems to come closer from time to time. So i managed to stay on the Roads that I was once driving in Real (but for sure not at that speed  Wink ) .
I am still not sure that I had the right car-choice.  Undecided Think I can be faster in the Lotus33. Maybe next time around.  Smiley All in all I am pleased with a second spot that I sure not get if Hristo was not dropped from his Internet connection.
Looking forward to the next Race!

So long
Andreas
