All members welcome.

Grid/server capacity: 28

Practice: ~19:20 (60 mins)
Qualifying: 20:20 (20 mins)
Race: 20:40 (24 laps)

Track: Snetterton 1964 Download this

Cars allowed: Ford Mustang, Lotus Cortina, Austin Mini Cooper, Fiat Abarth from here The Real GTL mod 1.0:
http://downloads.gamers-crib.com/Sim%20Racing/GTL/Mods/RealMod/RealMod10.exe or here http://www.gamefront.com/files/21168781/RealMod10_exe

and update (to ver 1.3): http://downloads.gamers-crib.com/Sim%20Racing/GTL/Mods/RealMod/RealMod13update.exe or here http://www.gamefront.com/files/21168219/RealMod13update_exe

It's best if you create a standalone GTL install (copy your GTL to a temp folder, rename it e.g. REAL GTL, then copy back to your usual directory. Path the install to the new REAL GTL you have just created).  Install ver 1.0 first then update with the ver 1.3 install. Run the sim and purchase the cars.
We will not be able to use any skin packs with this mod.

Time of Day Setting: 15:00
Start: STANDING
Tyre wear: Normal
Fuel consumption: Normal

Server: simracing.org.uk BSCC
Password: see above

Notes:
(1) It's best if all drivers can make sure they are connected before the Qualifying session as drivers on track during qualifying will not see cars that join after they are on track until they go back to the garage.
(2) Please make sure you are fully aware of the SimRacing.org.uk Rules.
(3) The AI control should be turned off so that you have control of the car at all times, including pitting. Your player file should therefore read
Autopit="0"
Force Autopit Off="1" // Forces autopit always off
No AI Control="1" // AI never has control over car
If you still finding pitting problematic, experience tells us that its less to do with positioning and more to do with approach speed. A slow approach to pit crew chief has proved most reliable.
(4) Driver lists can be found on the championship standings page

Special Notes: There are no start lights, instead there are starting marshals who wave a green flag to mark the start of the race. The pole sitter can't see any of these marshalls without using the "look left" feature. Suggest the grid countdown feature be turned on.

I have a feeling that the problems with my comp are with the GPU it runs at 64+ degrees C after 30 mins in game.

Common problem apparently. Have you tried taking the side off the case? underclocking the GPU/graphics memory? Pointing a big fan at the open PC?

I have no side on the case have no idea how to underclock but sending it back as its under warranty so will use my old 512MB card until its sorted so will still be able to race.

This is why I carry a spare pretty much everything :-)

Be right back :-)

Just noticed you're in the standard Cortina on the server Wink You'll need to use the [Real] Cortina from the Real GTL Mod as in the race announcement. I'm just entering the server, so I'll let you know.

GT was just too fast for everyone (needs to be carryinf some ballast that lad!), but had cracking race long battle pressurising chase with Matt. First half I was in front, made one mistake going wide & he was through. So my turn to pressure him, but he held good & a lap from the end I messed up & he was gone for good.

Happy with a podium, kept the Oldie flag flying while Mark C was absent anyway Smiley

A bit of a lonely race, but good fun in the tank trying for pb in the last few laps.

I raced here in the fezza 275 last night with NG and came stone dead last against Elans and various muscle, so it was nice to be in a quick car after that. Next round is noGoodwood, so I'm guarranteed a carp night there  Smiley
