All members welcome.

Grid/server capacity: 28

Practice: ~19:20 (60 mins)
Qualifying: 20:20 (20 mins)
Race: 20:40 (26 laps)

Track: Goodwood GP Circuit Download this

Cars allowed: Ford Mustang, Lotus Cortina, Austin Mini Cooper, Fiat Abarth, Ford Falcon from here The Real GTL mod 1.0:
http://downloads.gamers-crib.com/Sim%20Racing/GTL/Mods/RealMod/RealMod10.exe or here http://www.gamefront.com/files/21168781/RealMod10_exe

and update (to ver 1.3): http://downloads.gamers-crib.com/Sim%20Racing/GTL/Mods/RealMod/RealMod13update.exe or here http://www.gamefront.com/files/21168219/RealMod13update_exe

It's best if you create a standalone GTL install (copy your GTL to a temp folder, rename it e.g. REAL GTL, then copy back to your usual directory. Path the install to the new REAL GTL you have just created).  Install ver 1.0 first then update with the ver 1.3 install. Run the sim and purchase the cars.
We will not be able to use any skin packs with this mod.

Time of Day Setting: 15:00
Start: STANDING
Tyre wear: Normal
Fuel consumption: Normal

Server: simracing.org.uk BSCC
Password: see above

Notes:
(1) It's best if all drivers can make sure they are connected before the Qualifying session as drivers on track during qualifying will not see cars that join after they are on track until they go back to the garage.
(2) Please make sure you are fully aware of the SimRacing.org.uk Rules.
(3) The AI control should be turned off so that you have control of the car at all times, including pitting. Your player file should therefore read
Autopit="0"
Force Autopit Off="1" // Forces autopit always off
No AI Control="1" // AI never has control over car
If you still finding pitting problematic, experience tells us that its less to do with positioning and more to do with approach speed. A slow approach to pit crew chief has proved most reliable.
(4) Driver lists can be found on the championship standings page

Special Notes: Flagman start on LH side of track. Advise having countdown turned on.

I will have to sit this one out. Hope to be back for the race at Zandvoort (although that's not for sure too, because around this weekend we are expecting our third baby, so i might have to change nappies and so Grin)

I've had two big grid (20+) races at Race Department on the Simbin server and not had any probs (touch wood). However I used Game Fire to turn off un-needed windows stuff and disabled my Internet Security for the race distance.
I'll be doing the same tonight, lets see if I last the distance.

Nice to actually finish a race tonight  Smiley

Thanks for the tip on Game Fire  thumbup1 I've used Gamebooster before, but GF seems to be more user friendly. Not convinced it's the answer to our problems just yet, but can't do any harm.

Falcon and stang seemed well matched here. I was quicker in the Falcon when I tested earlier, but then managed to beat that time in the stang after a bit of pracci. Good to see Ross back amongst us......we could do with a few more as this is a fine series with a nice mod.

BT Infinity worked well - no probs.  Grin Pity my driving didn't match up to it.  Made too many unforced errors, resulting in damage and a pit stop and finally concentrating to much on rear view mirror on approach to final chicane.  Roll Eyes Resulting in spearing front of car on the end of the Armco - what a wally.  oops hammer hammer hammer

Thanks for that, unfortunately due to finger trouble, it took 2 attempts to load it by which time Qualifying had started. Did a lap and settled for my original which I had lots of practice with despite front left tyre getting yellow - bright orange in race.

Nice race but everyone seemed to spread out and as all our speeds were constant (except for QS who seemed to vary due to misshaps) never had a chance to catch the really fast guys. Still no disco's which is a bonus. Syd must of been bitten by another dog (or perhaps the last one liked the taste?).
