My best and most enjoyable races for a while.  With human competition I speeded up and found I was under geared by a couple of clicks breaking into the 2:19s in qualifying.

Made a reasonable start, sorry about the tap early on lap 1 Matt but you slowed up more and sooner than I expected.  After that spent most of the race chasing Kurt. We had our usual good clean tussle swapping places until with, I think, 2 laps to go he pitted and lost about 30 sec then on the penultimate lap gt caught me approaching the final turn so I backed off and let him lap me so as to finish my race as I crossed the line.

This circuit never fails to thrill and driving that hyper Mini last night was a blast. Was having a great chase, trying to catch Ivan for the early part of the race, but a mistake cost him some time and then perhaps he discoed? Then I was left in my usual position with the guys behind too far away to trouble me and the leading pair too far away to catch up with. Glad to finish for a change and amazed that the Mini's front right tyre didn't explode due to wear and heat.
Thanks to everyone who turned out, making it a bigger grid than I had expected.

Good to be back but there's still a lot of work to do - maybe a new hd.
Love this beast of a Mini.
During race I turned really tired and wasn't abble to concentrate anymore so Bill
could catch me again. With Bill in front of me concentration returned and we had
a nice battle up to the end of the race when I got a stop&go penalty which I had
to take because I didn't want to be disqualified.

So a finish for me - which already is very satisfying.

CU soon guys - now let's get back to work on my pc  Wink
