All members welcome.

Grid/server capacity: 28

Practice: ~19:20 (60 mins)
Qualifying: 20:20 (20 mins)
Race: 20:40 (22 laps)

Track: Monza '88 Download this

Cars allowed: Porsche 911 RSR 3.0 (substitute car Porsche 914-6 No.370), Boss 302 Ford Mustang Download this (substitute car De Tomaso Pantera No.86) ,VW Scirocco Download this, Alfa Romeo GTAm Download this

Drivers are reminded that the maximum number of drives in any car is four. Check your status here

Time of Day Setting: 14:00
Start: STANDING
Tyre wear: Normal
Fuel consumption: Normal

Server: simracing.org.uk GTC
Password: see above

Notes:
(1) It's best if all drivers can make sure they are connected before the Qualifying session as drivers on track during qualifying will not see cars that join after they are on track until they go back to the garage.
(2) Please make sure you are fully aware of the SimRacing.org.uk Rules.
(3) The AI control should be turned off so that you have control of the car at all times, including pitting. Your player file should therefore read
Autopit="0"
Force Autopit Off="1" // Forces autopit always off
No AI Control="1" // AI never has control over car
If you still finding pitting problematic, experience tells us that its less to do with positioning and more to do with approach speed. A slow approach to pit crew chief has proved most reliable.
(4) Driver lists can be found on the Championship standings page

Special Notes: None

Is 28 laps correct for this race Tony? That would make it almost an hour and requiring a pitstop for some  Huh

Tried to join but I was a bit late. But couldn't join correctly. Just kept flashing up 'loading xyz' and when I did manage to get on track, no sound. Some incompatibility somewhere... Wrong version of GTL perhaps. Had a little go offline and was lapping around 2:10 so pretty slow but felt like there was lots to come with practice.

Ah well. Hope you enjoyed it.

That was fun indeed. Did some practice yesterday and it paid off with a pretty good setup. Lacked some tire managemend though Tongue
Start was good, not to be expected with all the Mustang pony's under the hood. Half race distance i got a little trouble with oversteer and overheating brakes and a little tiny off saw GT slip past. I could not keep his bumper but had to fend off John in his 911 instead. Luckely the sideways Mustang prevented a safe attack from him while i had enough grunt to keep clear in the straights.

Bring on the next one!

That turned out to be a really nice race. Took the stang because the pantera was on the limiter all the time here, but wasn't such a bad drive as it turned out. Had some trouble in quali when the game crashed and I froze mid-track. Re-joined and ffb was dead so rebooted pc making me too late for quali  Roll Eyes

Some great dicing with Quicksilver and Postal in the race until a mistake allowed me through and I was able to gradually pull a gap until I eased off with a couple of laps to go.

Paul, that happens if you don't have someone's car loaded on to your PC. To narrow it down we were only running the Boss 302's, Porsche 911's and VW's. There is only one "proper" version of GTL and that's V1.1 and you have that.

Thanks to everyone who turned out, good race. Nice to see Roger but sorry to see you get a DQ. Too many cuts?

That's a red herring. In a single player game he would be suffering from an electrical fault. It has no bearing in on-line racing as far as I know.
