GTL is now running of our new server. Many thanks to Picnic for giving up his free time to sort out some huge problems.

Just join as normal.

Thanks Picnic for your sterling work. Grin Tony is this new server faster than the previous one, only it appears to load quicker and frame rate in Sim seems higher?  Roll Eyes

Also do you, or any GTL.PRL expert, know the code figures to program the starter from Starter "1,19" to make the S key do this function?  Huh I have a problem with loss on wheel start button function and can't reprogram it.  taz (A lack of ability to change any wheel function  with that ***** Win 8 operation system, I  was conned  2guns into having installed on my PC.) So simply re-programing is not possible.  :'(

The starter button configured to S is

Control - Starter="(0, 31)"

Thanks Quicksilver384 will have a quick look at that.  Tony have a slow old drive with XP on it, could have a look at that when I have time but it did cause problems with emails I seem to recall.

Hmmm...thought I might struggle tonight and couldn't get together in quali at all. Flung a load of camber on before going to grid and hoped for the best in race, which seemed to work out well. As Matt Neale apparently once said, I'll take luck over talent every time  laugh

Results posted but the replay file looks too small to be valid.

EDIT: Replay file now replaced with the one off my PC.

Didn't mean to sound flippant there Tony. I was comparing to Mr. Quick's quali times as he was around 0.5 secs quicker and I couldn't work out how I was losing time. Was sure I'd be off pace in race, so in desperation I whacked up the camber front and back, hardened the springs and arbs slightly and went to grid untested. Usually a recipe for disaster, but luckily it worked and the car felt much improved.

Had a good start, made no mistakes and ended up being a much better night than expected .

Had a nice drive in the Fiat very lonely apart from when lapped by the fast guys, had probs getting on server it kept repeatedly loading the other drivers, stuck in a loop. Found the prob i had installed a prog called GTL car tools so i could praccy with just the 911, put prog back to originals in preset and everything was fine.

That's the problem when there's so few of us, lapping can become quite lonely.

My race started with loads of misshaps and off track excursions so soon found myself at the back. Highlight of my race was the epic battle trying to get past Bill who was driving like a man possessed.

My first serious pass attempt ended badly as I clipped Bill and we both skidded off the track. After that I just had to be patient and finally passed with a sneaky up the inside job at the last corner. Rest of my night was just keeping it on the tarmac. Never had a chance of catching Roger who was about 30 secs up the road. Still very enjoyable tho.

Thanks Tony, yes it was very enjoyable.  I don’t mind finishing last if I’ve had a good few laps racing other drivers, including chasing them trying to get on terms again.  My personal high light was finding the gap between you and Kurt on lap 1 and building up a few seconds lead before you both got back up to speed and staying ahead for the first 7 or 8 laps whilst you battled over last place.  Finally I overcooked it into that first sharp right hander and ran wide the left hand wheels dug into the gravel and turned me into the retaining wall (?) and I had to change into 1st and slow down to drive back onto the track allowing both you and Kurt through.

Then luckily for me you had your “misshaps and off track excursions” allowing our epic battle.  I think there were number reasons for my driving; I’ve spent many hours racing Minis – Poacher Pete’s league ran a number of Mini Series over the years before he stopped hosting GTL racing.  Also spent times experimenting with my setup as listed in my Monza (1976-93) postings; and been trying to go deeper into corners before I turn in to avoid going off on the exit at an angle wrecking front end instead of kissing or running along the Armco.  This is what gave Tony the chance to dive down the inside with my wider approach and early braking.

Looking forward to the next race in this Series.

Strange, loss of start button on steering wheel appears to be a REAL GTL issue - works OK on Empoli, both on and offline but neither on or offline here. Huh Roll Eyes
