Congratulations on the winning the title Bill! To bad i wasn't around for earlier races. I did make setups for Istanbul, Monaco, Empoli but never managed to get a race in. However all this setup practice came to good tonight. Didn't did to many practice laps before but i remembered it from the old 98 GP500 game with the BSB mod. Clean getaway and i was expecting a horde of Mini's on my case. That didn't happen, but there was a new radiator filling my mirrors. Could not possibly shake newboy DK for 32 laps, he kept me honest the whole race. Thanks all for racing tonight! And a welcome to Robert and Dave. See you all next week.

Second that about the Mini setup. Just went back and went round in 1:34.9 with race fuel and it wasn't perfect... much easier to control under brakes than the Escort (or maybe it was my crappy setup!)

Thanks Tony for an interesting car combo and also thanks to Geoffers for sharing his excellent setup with us. What a night’s racing, by the time we’d finished I was absolutely shattered. Thanks all for congrats on Championship win, bad luck Kurt. Oddly enough we have exactly the same points difference between us at Fuji 77 GT Cup 77, so it will be back to a battle again for 3rd in that Championship. Like you I had hoped for a race like one or two of our previous Mini battles where we swapped places 2 or 3 times for most of the race. Problem with these cars they’re easy to drive but “bite you” in a moment’s lack of concentration. It happened to me about mid race, suddenly I took a chunk of time out of Tony; I was about 13 secs behind him with Roger about the same gap behind me. So I put the hammer down and slowly gained a few hundredths of sec, until I out braked myself on one corner running fractionally wide. Instead of lifting and trying to get back on line I kept foot to floor, resulting in a fast long excursion into the scenery, at the next corner, losing about 10 secs. So concentrated on staying ahead of Roger, finishing ahead by about 13 secs. With a new PB in qualifying, not being lapped and winning Championship it was my most successful night ever – it can only go downhill from now on.

Congratulations on the Title Bill I haven't looked at the replay, but we bashed doors at one point as I passed into Park, I saw you hurtle off into the grass was not sure whether you just outbraked yourself or I had made a lot heavier contact than I thought I was thinking I should stop and wait, but was already way behind and struggling with the Escort so left anyway.

Thanks, not so much weight of contact as it was at my turn in point and at racing speed little margin for error. Typical racing incident, main problem was it dropped me back from Tony. But there again, life's a bitch!

Great race for me with loads of incident and good clean racing (and the odd idiot novice in a pink car getting in the way ) Saw Kurt's off which was mighty, no wonder the car exploded into a fire ball Grats to the Escort guys who were super quick. Nice to see the grid filling up; spread the word chaps , we need more drivers. Thanks to everyone who took part. It's you turning up week after week that makes all the effort worthwhile PS Check out Burtoners crash on the replay. No wonder he didn't know which way the track went

Grats to Postal on win
Grats to Bill on Championship win
Did`nt think i was going to make this race, all 3 of my GTL installs worked fine offline but would stall and hang on connecting to server. Enjoyed the race the mini was a great drive and good choice of track, wish i had got Geoffers setup and XD but forgot it in my panic trying to get online. Mid race thought i was going to catch Bill when he went off, but he was driving better than me and soon left me well behind. Lonely race apart from a couple of times seeing a bright pink escort.

I use Gamefire to switch off stuff I don't need when online racing. I also turn of the Internet Security. But always do a full scan after the race just for peace of mind.
