All members welcome.

Grid/server capacity: 28

Practice: ~19:40 (60 mins)
Qualifying: 20:20 (20 mins)
Race: 20:40 (26 laps)

Track: Saponaro Download this

Cars allowed: Ferrari 250 GTO Download this, Ferrari 275 GTB/C, Ferrari 250 SWB Download this

Time of Day Setting: 15:00
Start: STANDING
Tyre wear: Normal
Fuel consumption: Normal

Server: simracing.org.uk FERR
Password: see above

Notes:
(1) It's best if all drivers can make sure they are connected before the Qualifying session as drivers on track during qualifying will not see cars that join after they are on track until they go back to the garage.
(2) Please make sure you are fully aware of the SimRacing.org.uk Rules.
(3) The AI control should be turned off so that you have control of the car at all times, including pitting. Your player file should therefore read
Autopit="0"
Force Autopit Off="1" // Forces autopit always off
No AI Control="1" // AI never has control over car
If you still finding pitting problematic, experience tells us that its less to do with positioning and more to do with approach speed. A slow approach to pit crew chief has proved most reliable.

Special Notes: None

Is this some kind of a fantasy version of Mexico city track?
And are both 250 versions under the same slot? Cause I only see one Ferrari 250 slot when I'm selecting cars.

Sorry to, I think, Kurt (if not to whoever it was).  Thought I'd spun after clipping Armco,  all indications I had but of course there is a reverse track.  hammer hammer

Lack of practice, elder daughter and no 3 grandson visiting tomorrow for a few day,  Busy few days preparing for them - must be the Thomas residence, can't let daughter think the olds have a foot in the grave.  Roll Eyes Wink Managed to get sorted at end of qualifying with new PB which I reduced a number of times until I cornered too fast and bounced off left hand side Armco into Armco at pit entrance damaging car.  After last race with pit stop decided to see if I could drive to the finish; unfortunately got to cocky and lost it again bouncing off Armo and driving into someone. nono thumbdown

Congrats to all the finishers (both of us) Wink

Unlucky Tony & GT, you did both exit the game in the same second. I thought you must have been scrapping & come together?

Well how can I sum up that race, I qualified P1 & I finished P1. Easy really lol no
Got out dragged by at least 3 cars off the line scooter Roll Eyes but managed to hold nerve over the 1st jump & slide into 2nd. Was enjoying following Matt round, harassing where I could & being pressured by GT at a couple of corners he was very fast in Shocked, when I clipped the outside wall on the exit of the last bend :'(. Luckily was able to go straight in the pits & repair.
Rejoined last, 45 seconds behind Bill but gaining at about 10secs per lap. Caught & passed him & another a few laps later.
I saw Matt exit out & I was somehow back up to 3rd & gaining on 2nd spot, hoping the chase would result in an end of race duel Cool
But then was given an Easter surprise from Bill, I was coming to the end of the main straight, doing 150mph & in mid-air when I see Bill's car facing the wrong way & trying to turn round.... eek SMASH!!! & I was off up the embankment with fortunately only a lightly broken car (a bit tricky on corner exit but otherwise fine).
Bill quit & them few corners later Tony & GT exited promoting me back up to 1st Huh laugh

Just peddled it round to the finish for the last 6/7 laps, though my final bit of amusement was seeing SpecialK waiting 50 meters before the line for me to pass so he could finish without needing to do an extra lap, so I slowed down & started giving him a push towards the line making him sweat Wink before pulling out & claiming the chequered flag. Chuffed.

p.s. nice track that Tony, good fun in places (150mph jump for starters) & a real challenge in others!

Tat was a good one. I lost it over the jumps into T1 then got going again passed Tony
and was catching GT when I put a wheel on the dirt on the inside of T1 and rolled it over a wall
tried to get back on the track but all routes were blocked  Sad

Enjoyed this one too - nice car/track combo.
Smaller differnece to the leaders as usual  Roll Eyes
Could have been better if I would have been able to make less mistakes,
but with the involuntary help from Goldtop and Tony I ended up in a
surprising second place.

Looking forward to the next events - hoping for some more participants.
