A quick test in timetrial mode using the 1750 Alfa as the hare suggests that the 217 BHP Escorts (#2, #3 and #16) are too quick by around 1.5 secs/lap.
The other Escorts are a mixed bag but were extremely close to the 1750 Alfa.
Haven't tried the Mini or the Alpine.

Just been on-line and had all the TCs available. Stig in the Alfa is a lot quicker than me in the '70 TC at the minute. But only in the corners.

Similar finding here. the:
16v Escorts TCs are doing 1:48.4 8v ones 1:51.1 1750 Alfa = 1:49.3 2 litre Alfa '72 model 1:48.6 the older '71 (lighter and less power) 1:47.4 I can't do any more testing for this now, and I am away for the week, so I am going to set all Escort TCs, the 1750 Alfa and the 2 litre Alfa '72 only.
Check which Escort you are running there is a big difference in time between the 16v and the 8v, and there are smal weight differences even within those.
EDIT: Did a few laps on line, and I managed a 1:47.3 in the Red and Gold Mann 16v Escort, and a 1:47.2 in the Alfa 2.0 '72 model all with race fuel and default setup with gears and steering changed so that's close enough for folk I reckon, and there was some time to be found with both cars.

So we'll all be driving the 217 BHP Escorts then, unless your name is Spock and you fancy a challenge

The car list is now final. if you all end up in 217bhp Squashcourts, that's your choice, personally I think the 2.0 1972 Alfa is slightly quicker. The idea is not to offer 6 cars with identical times, the idea is to offer 2 or 3 that could win in the right hands and a couple of others as extra choice or for self handicapping. Remember please, this is all early days, if any car is way too dominant then it will not be used or other faster cars will be added to balance it in future events, this is only our 1st proper event with this car mix, gimme a chance chaps Remember there is quite a wide power/weight spread amongst the TCs. try a few. I like the purple one, but it lacks power compared to the 16v Alan Mann ones. Oh and enjoy Think of me stuck in the Premier Inn Blackfriars while you lot are having a great time at my favourite track!

did a 49.6 in the Renault. Possibly not the best car choice. I have to say the Oulton track is so beautifully modelled, brought a tear to my eye and no mistake :'( I,ve crashed everywhere except Island bend, and I briefly held the historic FF2000 lap record.............them was the days

Nice time SImon. No idea how Stig is getting into the 25s with the 1750, but one man's rocket is another's milk float I wrote a car off at Old Hall on a track day once a few years ago in the wet, love the place though.

Thanks Tony,
I'll try another download but I've done two already with the same result.
When I transferred the track over I was able to use it but when I tried to resart PnG afterwards it encountered an error.
I removed the track and PnG booted up as it should.
EDIT: Yep, it has installed for me now. Just hope it works.
Have serious issues installing this track. PnG crashes on startup (cannot find .hdc). Remove track and PnG starts without issues. Followed Clive's advise and installed Paul Ricard.. no problem. Installed Oulton again: crash. Removed the (underscore) in the file dir and PnG3 starts again but when I try to connect to server it's crashed on me again. Strangely enough I didn't cause issues in PnG2. Give up now and sit this one out Have a good race.
