Spent ages on this one, could not find a perfect car match without mixing the series, and I didn't want to do that, as the cars would be unrealistic. The escorts are faster here for me, and the fastest RS1600 and TCs do almost identical times but then I said that at Adelaide, and the Eyetalians came along in the 2 litre Alfas and blew everyone away, so who knows....
I could select only the slower Escorts from each class, but there are lots of them so even if it becomes a Squashcourt gala there are still plenty to choose from. I've slipped the Porka 2.5 in there because for me it had same times as the Alfa, but for coleopterists it may challenge the Escorts.

Yes Bill, you could take an Alfa 1750 as well if you want.

The RS1600 destroys the 2.5ST unfortunately. Did a recent race at GC at Adelaide and the RS1600's were very fast and half the grid ended up taking them Not sure how the Alfa2000/1750 compares with the escort though. The 1600GTA will have no chance against it either.

Yep, the RS1600s are very fast here, the 2.5 is slow for me, but then I am always slower than most in Porkas. The car mix is to give people choice if they don't want to just run RS1600s At one of the upcoming events I have added the Capri 2600 in as a foil for the RS1600s

I think 2 of the Escorts RS1600s have less power, maybe limit it to those.

Yep, I did that at Adelaide and it worked quite well, though at least one person ignored it probably a good idea, I had wanted to let all the dogs out to play, but here (more than other tracks) the '72 RS1600s do rather run away with it. And even the TCs are very fast. EDIT: '72 RS1600 Escorts removed from the allowed cars. *************

I just testet the Alfa 1600 GTA-SA here, and though a bit tricky to drive, it will be my choice ...... ....... that is to say IF the length of the race is reduced to 44 laps! Otherwise this willl be the only car that needs to do a fuel pitstop. ( it has a mere 60 ltr fuel capacity ) I really enjoy the Alfa 1600 GTA-SA, so I hope you will consider reducing the race-lenght Stig

These are the figures: alfa 1600SA - 1,16 liter per lap alfas 1750 & 2000 gta - 1,06 porsche - 1 escorts - 0,66 so SA alfa need minimum 55 but one or two liter more can`t hurt because I do not try to squeeze every rev from engine before shift up...

Weird. Just tried again and best (worst) I can do is 1,21 squeezing every rev from engine. When I`m shifting around 7500 rpm (max power is 225bhp/7250rpm) it`s in 1,14-1,16 range. Gear ratios default and for 80% of track is 4th and 5th ...

If you have a look at the fuel calculator within the game, you will notice they are the same Ed. Try 6xfuel and see how far you go. I believe that somehow your XD is wrong.

Stig
I started with full tank and after 6 timed laps and outlap (this means 7 laps) my fuel gage says 52,4 meaning that I burnt 7,6 liter for that. By my experience fuel calculator within a game works fine only with original tracks. Have a little faith in xd ... ...or MOTec. It says 1.232 for last lap ...
