Fran misjudges the braking distance and nudges Geoff. The difference in speeds is small and this is a small misjudgement. Fran retires.

He should have been a bit more careful though.

Moderator's Report

Last minute substitution with a tight grid. Standard of driving in the Red Zone was pretty good considering.

Server replay time: 0h01m07s

Goran gets a wheel on the grass which spins him and leaves Evil and Cookie nowhere to go. Natan is affected as well and Andreas does well to avoid him.

Server replay time: 0h01m18s

Hristo gets in Tristans tow and does not allow for Tristan slowing in the corner. There is a noticeable shunt.

Hristo is experienced enough to make allowances and this is on the border of unacceptable but only he is affected.

Server replay time: 0h07m15s

Phil hits Ronnie who has lost his car but Mr. T had nowhere to go...

Unfortunately for Ronnie and Hendy this arises from Ronnie outbraking himself and sliding into Hendy.

Server replay time: 0h07m50s

Nicky gets a touch on the grass which is invariably fatal and crashes into Andreas. Nicky correctly cedes the position as soon as he is able but this is unfortunate for Andreas.

Server replay time: 0h30m53s

Nicky misjudges the tow and rear ends Natan. Nicky holds his hand up. This is very similar to Hristo's incident but because Nicky touches one tyre only Natan is badly affected.

Server replay time: 0h38m48s

Phil hits Natan whose car is now stationary. Once more Mr. T has nowhere to go. Having blown his engine, Natan was a bit unhelpful parking where he did!

Natan feels that several people damaged his car but without specific incidents reported I can't comment!

hi Smiley

good race and good battle whith H.   .....after looking the reaplay I can see a bug at T1 who put F.G out in the grass ...there is absolutly no contact .. angel.. ....another bug whith H. at the end of L7 where there is a contact , but by a very strange  Shocked and quick moove from H.car.....then I lost the contact, Undecided  but happyly for me  H. do is mistake at L8 and have to S-R... Kiss ...so I have just to controle the gap till the end......I finish whith 20 l in the tank !!.... Huh

.....thx to Matra and the mécanics Smiley ....

It's not a bug, it's just warp/lag. I had the inside of the corner and you should have left more room for yourself when on the outside, otherwise you risk warp/lag to send you off the track, just like it happened.

It was a very good battle indeed, but after my mistake I had no hope of catching you, you were faster overall and even if I was close enough for slipstream, I had more wing so there was no way to pass you down the straights. Grats!

One thing I want to point out is I'm quite unhappy about the calendar. With all those long straight tracks it becomes really pointless to race these winged cars. The whole idea is they have more grip in the corners, but it all becomes irrelevant on tracks like Reims, Monza, Hockenheim, etc. Not only they're slower than 67s on the straights, even without wings, but it's quite a boring ride to the finish. I was looking forward to racing these cars on proper tracks where the extra downforce and grip could be exploited, but now I've lost a lot of interest after having a look at the calendar. Monza, Sebring, Daytona, Hockenheim, Reims... half the season is wasted for these cars.

What can I say...."another race, another disco!!" This is getting a bit monotonous. Sad surrender

As a last resort I have just vacuumed the inside of my PC case and removed a great deal of dust from the fans. It might just be an overheating problem that is causing these blackouts? If this does not fix it I am seriously contemplating a new PC, or at least replacing/upgrading motherboard/processor and RAM as I have graphics card , sound card and big power supply already. Then I might just go wild with the cash and move up to Win7 (or Cool.

Yes its a shame Clive, but when you have opened the PC, did you have a look at the capacitors?
They are often the cause for random failures...

It´s not a bug. I had two possibilities there. I saw your car coming close to me. Either I keep my line and we both crash or I try to avoid contact and maybe we both make it, but unfortunately I went to wide and lost track and then went into one of these wheat fields or whatever they are, which is the perfect deathtrap. Catastrophic race there for me. Had to shift-r two times. Now I read its not allowed. I didnt know that because I am pretty sure the first race was labbeled as novice with infinite shift-r. So I might get DQ for that one.

It was a very good battle indeed, but after my mistake I had no hope of catching you, you were faster overall and even if I was close enough for slipstream, I had more wing so there was no way to pass you down the straights. Grats!

In fact having some wings was an advantage to the guys with no wings, because you could use their tow the whole straight while they had to get out early of yours. You then could brake later at the end of the straight and get in front again. Keeping up with them on a straight when you have their tow was no problem.

Congratulations to Magic Arsouille on a great victory , to Hristo getting 2nd and to Dean makes it 3rd on podium with seconds slowest laptime , very good job !!

Well , I did had a great challenge and thrilling race. Fantastic start , needful portion of luck during first lap and thankfully an solid built BT26a stand lots of Armco contacts as well cars`s ones .  All over the race I had some cars in front and behind , so in my case , absolutely not an boring race , like it might have been to others , running around without any tow.
I like to apologize to Andreas for being in the way after I lost control by touching the right hand green under braking into hairpin 1 ! as well to Natan for causing an rear end shunt at L15. That one simply my fault all over . I already sent an incident report asking to penalize me for that

Well, disappearing Clive ; hope you can sort out the trouble. Would be great for you and less thrilling for drivers being close to you . This time I had two moments , where Clive`s car simply disappeared in front me .situation to abdicate….
Clive , are you using an onboard network card, or an PCI network card ?
At the very beginning of my GPL action I suffer by an weak onboard Realtek. Doesn’t caused disco but collisionbox issues.

But no chance to win like that, because they would easily pass you down the straight towards the s/f line. Also, when you step out of the slipstream, you quickly lose the speed and the braking zones are the only places you can actually go in front, but it doesn't last long. I "practiced" it with Tristan a couple of times, but he always crossed the s/f line first.  Smiley

Spent qually trying to find a set up for a track that has 3 long straights and only one decent corner , would have thought the best approach was minimum wing as every time I reduced it the car felt good and the top gear got longer , even so was suprised to get row 2 even without a proper tow . even more suprised to be in the lead thanks to Jhonny not making the grid and David R getting away slow but the bad news was he didn't take long to catch me up , the next few laps we played see saws down the long straights , I was enjoying the race and already planning how to get to the finish line in front , David was much faster out of the slow corners than me , I was faster on the "easy" bits , I could pass him with the tow but it wasn't looking good for the race from the last corner to the finish line , so I decided to see if I could improve my corner exit speed but too much gas too soon resulted in the spin and David was away having broken the tow , was hoping Goeff would soon catch me so we could perhaps tow each other back up to David and was thinking it might be worth hanging back for the tow when the disco lights went out .

Seem to be attending way too many discos these days and there damaging me health.

Grats to the podium boys and all who finished , commiserations to those like me who went home early  Smiley

Sorry again Hendy my fault. But I do have to laugh considering what happened at another race at Reims this season, still my fault for not reporting incidents so I only have myself to blame. However I sense a mid term comment coming up regarding one law for some drivers and another for the rest regarding the overall moderation of all races so far this season.

I am trying to be consistent but I am finding running and modding four series a bit much. I am not spending as much time on each incident as I would like or hope to, and that is bound to lead to some snap judgements.

If you are unhappy, let me know via PM but I can't promise to attend to it soon.
