i wasnt even aware there were differences in the various RSR's in P&G3 other than two were newer vintage !  The few i had looked over on the stats all had same bhp/torque etc. hadnt thought to check different tyre manufacturers and have never got the spare time to test one set of tyres against another really. May do now though  Wink  I think its great everyone chooses their favourite sponsor scheme and dont think i saw more than one of each car last night, although sure there must have been. The grid looked superb.
I love the Jagermeister car, always have since a kid. Cool Same reason as Frex...tamiya! Also like the Valiant one for same reason  Smiley

I took the Harley Davidson US sponsored one as ive got the exact same Minichamps 1:43 version sitting right in front of my keyboard ...along with about 30 other various 911's dotted around the spare room, including a Jagermeister 935. Mad for it!  Grin

I just watched the replay posted here cuz for some reason in my replay I cant see animal ed, the Riccardo thing makes so much sense now, cuz it seemed weird to me very unrealistic movement but it was all cuz Animal pushed him into both Alessandro and me, Manteos Thanks for pointing this out, maybe cuz of lag my replay didnt get everything in.

Cheers frex I could have been more careful in hindsight

You're welcome Smiley

What you stated about your replay could be absolutely true, cause every single client replay, will be surely different by the server replay, that is the only one you can blindly trust Wink

About the tires issue, you can check the tire guide directly inside the setup menu in game. Look at the top right of the screen, and near the word "tires", on the right of it there's the "tire guide" (click it to open). There are three sections on the top of the screen (1960-72 tires/ 1973-1976 tires/some useful infos). If you're going to do some wet races, you can chech which tyres are better for any single weather condition talking about the 1960-72 section. Remember that in this period, there were no rain compounds at all, but the GTLW guys cannot erase them from the game, so the "intermediate compound", the "Hard wet compound", and the "soft wet compound" are just repetitions of the slick compound (that are actually carved tires).
At the opposite, in the 1973-76 as it is written in the pdf "As the compounds progressed from all-purpose treads, to dedicated dry weather slicks, separete treaded wet compounds were introduced."

Just watched replay again and I did tap Riccardo after he tap Alessandro ... Nick was 3rd completely on the right side, Alessandro and Riccardo was 4th and 5th in the middle of the road and I was behind completely on the left side so I`m not really sure how much cautious I could be there. I was almost completely off throttle and ready to brake but I was not prepared for car that suddenly stop in front of me ... but I agree that it is wierd in replay (both mine and from server) because from my car it was just a touch after he hit Alessandro but from Ricardo`s car it`s looks like a huge hit from behind. Maybe he had a kind of problem that I had at Mallory Park when my pc was frozen for a second and was going out of control ...

btw Samsom Kremer RSR 3.0 is on Dunlops, not on Firestones ...

forgot to say - I wasn`t on the left to defend my position. I was there just because of situations like this, meaning not to have a car directly in front of me ... but funny thing is that I don`t remeber this situation as I see it on replay. Already stated my opinion about chat so I would not say "sorry" but I would pull over and wait if I feel that I did something wrong. In this situation I still don`t think that Ricardo lost control because of me. Also I don`t think that he was just not cautious enough - looks like out of control (lag maybe) ...

I saw a car on the left seemingly stick the brakes on and come to a halt well before the braking zone on the run upto the corner and remembered thinking 'that's gonna hurt' to whoever was alongside me as we approached it. Don't know if whoever it was managed to avoid rear ending it as I carried on my way but did think it a bizarre thing to do!  Shocked  was it a disco'd car?

I agree with your reconstuction of the incident, and your tap to Riccardo was probably an unavoidable consequence of him tapping Alessandro. I guess that the speed of Riccardo after your touch was absolutely unnatural because his car splashes off like a bullet after he received the tap, and this usually happens when the client connection is not so fine. I didn't want to give you the responsibility of the incident, but I just described what I saw in the replay. That's it  Wink

Yes. I know but it`s second time that Nick is the victim and I was involved in a way.

Not easy to swallow for me.

Guys

This is internet racing, and the internet weather can produce some strange effects.
If anyone feels that someone drove really badly, then file an incident report, and poor ole Tony
will need to look at the incident, and make a decision which could be a word of caution
to someone, or a place drop penalty or if someone is a complete idiot, then exclusion
from the results. To me in the Server replay it looked like someone was a bit "pushy"
but there were also some odd connection things, so if you are happy to, just put it down
to internet weather, and perhaps learn from it.   surrender

p.s
Porche tyres fixed for future events. Thanks Ed

ah, so i was one of those on the inferior Dunlops...interesting. Tyres felt good to me on the whole, maybe a little squirelly but then i was running a stiff setup. Tyre wear was good, had grip right through to the end of the race, no noticeable drop off. Be interesting to see if i could up my pace further with a set of Goodyear or Firestones.  I was surprised during the race to not get anywhere near my pre event PB's with race fuel and had thought i'd be breaking into the 2:02s on the night considering i had managed plenty of 2:03.0's beforehand.  Undecided

No worries Animal Ed, these things happen to all of us, in my replay I dont see u at all, and Riccardos car doesn't seem to touch me, is maybe like 1 meter away from mine but my bumper gets bend and me off track, so is definitely a connection problem.
