Watching from the pit wall, the lag seemed quite bad to me for the first half of the race. Do any drivers feel that the race was ruined due to the lag/warping?

I managed to mess my race up all by myself, but yes I'd like to run this again please.

Well I was certainly delayed by MJ's lagging until he ran wide. I'd closed right up to Apextech who was showing as being in 2nd place on the tabs, but I was showing as 7th on xd and in the in-game positions so thought I had somehow been docked a lap after an error at the last chicane. I didn't want to try to unlap myself so that was the reason I quit only to hear that things had gone wonky in the timing.

well it certainly ruined my race! so yes id like it re-run. But then Legzy (who somehow blagged a win  Wink ) will be put out and the others who lucked in to a top 5 place.  Undecided Tough call, will go with whatever you decide naturally.  Smiley

Lag didn't affect my race, however in the interest of fairness as it did for most of the field then I will say yes to a re-race/.

I am asking as I am considering putting up a poll about rerunning the event but, I am just trying to figure out how bad the lag was at the moment. It looked bad to me but, that does not mean it looked that bad to everyone else.

there was only one bit of lag for me for a few seconds but wasn't a problem to me. the only issue i really noticed which may have been lag but I had no other cars near me to really see was the player gap times fluctuated greatly for a while but wasn't a major problem.

It would be nice to re-run it. I got hit by MJ's warpng car on the pace lap. I think it affected others in the first corner. Plus i lost time when h@L asked me to type in the chat to warn Mark!

I had a great qually to sneak 2nd spot & knew that to have a chance to win I'd need to use my Viper power to get past GoldTop's also pacey Lotus on lap one else the oportunity would be lost in a cloud of his dust. So applied all the presure I could through the first half lap & lucky for me he slightly messed up 2 corners in a row & I powered on past & saw Goldtop making another mistake in my rear-view as I guess he tried to get going again too quickly beofore losing too much ground.
It didn't take long before RoadRunner used his far supperior handling Z4 to catch me, but I knew I stood a good chance with my Vipers power advantage. We went at it for ages (till half distance maybe), never more than a car length apart till he made a mistake & went off track. I thought that I might now be able to engage cruise control but somehow TT caught me far too easily in his Porka & I was back in a close quarters scrap till about 3 laps from the end, as I continued to make full use of Viper Power.
I was completely knackered & chuffed to bits with my hard earned win Cool

p.s. I was close to other cars the whole race & didn't see a single warping car. The only issue I saw was from my 3rd party addon XD program, it was jumping peoples position around, but the ingame lap count etc remained fine throughout.

Tbh I never actually saw MJ in the race, the problems started for me when he left, lag started gettin worse n worse from everyone, then all the positions started to go wrong, even managed P10 out of 9 at one point, finally everyone disappeared for good, though it never actually said I'd been disco'd nobody had come back in 5 mins or so, so guessed I probably had been.

I don't use XD either Smiley

As for a rerun I'll go with whatever happens, though wouldnt say no to a reeun

The server was dodgy from the start. As soon as I joined I was shown as nsfast for about 5 seconds then his pit stall became mine. Then on the warm up lap h@ls car was warping in front of me and I ended up going nose first in the barrier to avoid rear ending him!
It's cost me badly in the champ as I dropped from 2nd to 7th or 8th  Sad
But I would feel sorry for Legzy as he won the race on merit and hard work.

...but would he have beaten Dan? Undecided

My race was not effected by lag. I was too far behind.  Grin My pain was entirely self inflicted.

I must admit I'm not in favour of a re-run. I'd prefer to go with the "bad luck evens out over of a season principle". Also one result is dropped anyway from the championship scores.

Yes, very true, I would have needed a pretty big mistake in the first couple of corners of the lap to get past and stay infront, something like 7-8 seconds lost. I was losing bout 3 seconds on the straight, just about made it up by the hairpin or chicane before it, so honestly i think unless he put his tyres through the shredder a few times it was Legzy's to win

On reflection I'm also happy to let things stand as they are, but just disappointed that I lost out on what would have been an enjoyable race.

The final rounds should be very good fun (anyone else tried Buddh yet?  Cool Cool Cool) and the championship at least is a bit closer at the front now  Wink
