Moderator's Report

Goldtop passes Robiker before a tight rh turn. Robiker then hits the rear of Goldtop and spins him. Goldtop has declared that no penalty should be given so we respect his wishes.
Robiker moves away from the incident in order to not block the road (good) but fails to let Goldtop regain the place lost (bad) or take a voluntary drive through (bad).
This time we\'ll let this go with a caution but all drivers are reminded that gentlemen drivers should give back places to victims whenever possible or take a drive through within 3 laps of the incident occurring.

  • robiker (Robert Beck)caution — Causing an incident/failing to let victim pass or perform a drive through
For advice only - unreported by victim, so penalty disregarded

Not that boring really, if your driving style is as one Mr Dechamps and his Dolomite Sprint: link

Hope to join you this Thursday, not sure about car choice yet.

Another blast from the past. Do you not fancy a few races in the WSL on Tuesday evenings, SuperSwift?

Car selection is solid, there will be no changes.

Why do we keep having these discussions about how to treat kerbs?

This is the same as anywhere else. You need to put a wheel up the kerbs to get a decent time in..
no problem. If you make a mistake and get your inside wheel up the kerb as well a few times during the race
I doubt anyone will complain, If you regularly drive 4 wheels off the track then expect an incident report.

I don't know how to make it any clearer. We are here to race not police kerb cutting. Just keep
2 wheels on the track most of the laps and don't worry about it. It's not that hard.

Perhaps we should get everyone to wear an electric shock machine so when you have no wheels on the
track you get a jolt  scared

Note: Race changed to 20 laps to half reflect  alien times

p.s @Mogget if you want an Alfa the 2.0 '71 version runs well here.

Times update: Capri is on 2:08`s with race fuel and softs. With mediums is 2:09 all the way to the finish line ... `71 is tiny bit slower but not much because it`s easier to put the power down (for me) ...

I`m staying with Porsche on hards and probably will skip qualifying if I choose gear ratios with extra long first - noone to hit me from behind if I stall (most likely) ...

Too many (family) activities, not enough time I'm afraid.... I'm only running 1 or 2 P&G races per month and the UKPnG schedule suits me fine (I especially like the British Historic Cup).

But if you would be so kind to share the password for WSL, then I would be happy to show up for a couple of races whenever I have a free Tuesday night.

My laptimes for Charade in the Escort TC are a bit disappointing at the moment (2:13’s), but will see how it turns out during the race. See you on track!

Ouch.. These times are scary. Here are some screen shots just to make it clear how much you can abuse the kerbs or what will
get you an interview with the Kerb Police:

As there is a wall to modify your car against, and everyone will at some time anyway, for this race we will allow going over the outside kerb on the exit of T1

I suppose tracks with walls have a completely different set of rules then. Let's try Surfers paradise next, it has nothing but walls  Wink Grin

I wouldnt have allowed it at T1 either personally, just means cars like the capri can almost run flat through that corner instead of being technical/losing any momentum for a slower car to gain on it.

Tried that and hit the wall.

Wellllllll as long as everyone except me gets the same scary times, all is well  laugh

We, the management  cowboy decided that T1 exit is similar to running wide out of Ascari.
I was looking forward with loathing to the flood of "can we run wide in T1 or not" and all the post race
grumping, so I made an executive decision so everyone knows and there will be no "interpretation"

There is a similar patch of concrete on the exit of the LHer at the bottom of the hill before the hairpin, is this OK to use or is it considered out of bounds?
