Yeehaw....and so it begins  thumbup1

Thoroughly looking forward to another superb season of f1  Smiley will be up early to watch the qually.

Shame no more saucy georgie Thomson to look forward too on the couch, but Natalie Pinkham is a bit of a fox too  Kiss  Wink
Looking forward to seeing how LH does in the merc and also how alonso does in a much improved Ferrari. Hope someone can stop the vettel/newey express, though they deserve their success so far.

Bring it on!  Cool

Me looky forward too  Smiley although I don't have Sly so will have to make do with BBC highlights. Hope Suzi Perry is successful in her new anchor role...local gal done good  Smiley

Mercedez seemed strong in pre-season testing, but looks like the usual suspects are as dominant as ever. Hope LH rises to the challenge  Cool

You really need to get sky if your into f1 GT, their coverage is simply superb, so much more involving. The beeb did a great job but its blown away by sky's resources and commitment.

Suzy P is easy on the eye though  Wink

I don't care who it is that wins, but anyone other than bloody Vettel....he's done more to add boredom to F1 than any driver I can think of.

Huh Huh? didnt see much 'boredom' last season! and i'm no fan of the wunderkind ! But he and his team deserved their plaudits last few seasons. The other teams were too busy giving away points apart from the mighty alonso and despite the best efforts of Lewis.

I'm already starting to turn off knowing Vettels been fastest in practise.

You not heard of sky+ Mark?? There's no way i'm getting up at 5am.

I've switched to sky this year though, thank god then that Georgie Thompson isnt there, and Natalie Pinkham has been recognised for her F1 knowledge having done it for so long.  The whole sky presentation leaves me cold when i've caught it at times last year.

Ha don't worry I will be skyplussing it too! Not getting up at 5 either....more like 8 or 9! Will be up at 6 for the race Sunday though, something visceral about being up early doors watching it live with a cup of coffee  Smiley

Well, as you Sky-plussers will find out when you eventually get up...  [and no doubt will smile you smile a little - it would me Wink  ]
... it's half an hour in & still have their hold music due to ongoing technical problems...

Well, time for another coffee I guess!

Enjoy the show all.  At least there's the BBC coverage at 1PM if this doesn't go well.

Dave.

Well that was a complete washout! So glad I didn't get up at 5am  Tongue
And now q2&3 clashes with Sebring coverage tonight at 11.45pm

Mclarens look in bad shape. Mercs look quick.

Not the greatest start to the new seasons coverage, about 40mins of a blank screen!

That was almost 3hours of my life wasted there watching the recording. So Q2 and 3 is now on sunday in Aus. I'm not sure my sky+ can handle the length of the programme for qually and the race.

Being that qually is 25min in total why does the programme stretch from 11.45am right through to the race programme!

Vettel ignoring team orders. Sign of a champion or not?

I know other driver have done similar things in the past but, Vettel had to push unreasonably hard agaisnt Webber and could still not make a move in the same car. I doubt that was the same when Mansel and others tried it. It looked like Webber had to give up because Vettel was about to crash into him (*again whistling*). If he could make the move then fair enough but, he could not as far as I could tell.

Vettel made a bit of a fool of himself in the post race interview when he claimed to have made a mistake in overtaking Webber. He obviously knew exactly what he was doing  Roll Eyes The only saving grace that Vettel could have was that they were very close into T1 after the last pitstop, which is usually the cut off point for racing your team mate. Rightly or wrongly the team orders were to hold station and he clearly disobeyed those. The Rosberg/Hamilton situation was very similar .

Doesn't do much for the sport though does it. Add DRS overtakes and designed to fail tyres to the mix and one can't help but feel it could be done much better.
