Fun race! Got to P2 early on with Geoffers ahead and Goldtop behind. Could hold the IROC pace in the first part of the race, even reducing the gap to Geoff here and there (although i suspect he had pace in reserve as any time i got really close he would open up the gap again). Began to struggle in the second half though, and GT was becoming more and more of a threat as the race went on.

Felt i was safe over most of the lap except for the final two corners, and had to go more and more defensive there - which felt a little unfair to be honest as GT was clearly quicker at this point.. Several close moments, but GT finally made it stick with 2 laps to go with a textbook dive down the inside. That should have been that, but as he says he then gifted me the place back, and it was also close with Nik at the line.

Congrats Geoff for the win, and thanks to GT for the (almost) race-long battle.

Could be, I was thinking more of others who seem to disco alarmingly often. Geoffers discos at times but stayed on tonight.

My discos usually happen in practice & qually, its something related to my internet connection, it always seems a bit flakey for the first 10-15 mins I'm online, after that it seems to settle down. Only race I've had a disco was the Porsche race at Imola although at the Sebring Enduro I had cars intermittently disappearing & quit when I thought I had frozen & caused Frex to crash, which wasn't the case as it turned out!

Anyway bad luck to all those who discoed or had trouble joining last night. Sad

Was a bit surprised to win this, didn't think the IROC was as quick as the Capri or Escort but the results seem to show otherwise with 3 of the first 4 in IROCs. Got the lead at the start & had Dan's Escort hassling for the first lap, but he went off at Redgate on lap 2. This left me with a couple second lead over Frex which stayed about the same for about threequarters of the race. Only in the last few laps did the gap increase when I guess Frex's tyres went off. Looked like being a Kerby lockout of the podium with GT 3rd, shame you went off on the last lap GT  Sad

Congrats to Frex & Nik in 2nd & 3rd.  clap

No I was going as fast as I could without risking it, just found it difficult to be consistent. Still haven't got the setup quite right, car still won't turn very well on the brakes, soon as I was letting the brakes off it would turn great so it was a case of letting the brakes off at the right point to hit the apex. Most times I was running a bit wide & losing time.  Roll Eyes

Not so good race for me, actually, frustrating race.

I was off track in first corner (by my own will because I didn`t want to create mayhem) sent by GT and, after watching replay - no complains. GT was also sent wide (with contact) by another blue escort like mine.

A combination of unfortunate circumstances (my not so good start helped a lot) ended with drop from 3rd to 17th and a lot of work to do. By the end of first lap I was 13th catching guys in front, some of them I managed to pass but some of them let me pass (thanks Legzy) so I ended in 10th place when real frustration starts. Every time when I close the gap to Mark Jonzo, his car became frozen forcing me to avoid ghost car and, after third case, I gave up. It took me few laps to calm down and wait for last part of race because I suspect that guys in front have soft tires and i was on med`s so they will be in trouble. But it was too late and the gap was too big so my 8th place is simply result of other one disco and one mistake on finished tires in late stage of race.

Anyway, Donington is not one of my favorite tracks - nice to drive but hard to race on because you are depending on other mistakes or must play hard.

I`ll miss Silverstone but be back for Mexico.

I managed some demon last minute setup changes that added at least a second to my lap times in qually and race! Roll Eyes

Good job that others had problems or I would have been way down the order.

Grats to Geoffers and associated Kerbies.

We will have our revenge.

Fantastic pace fron Dan too!  Were you running nitro?

The connection thing happended yesterday in pracci as well. Originally connect ok, pc crashes, after restart, lobby and other server works fine but can't connect to server to which i was connected at time of crash. Seems cwappy game related rather than server led?

I experienced the same in the past. When the pc crashed, I was able to connect on the other servers in lobby, but not in the server in which I was before the crash. I'm not an expert, but every time this happened to me, I first restareted the router, than I always rejoined the server without any issue. Try this procedure the next time it will happen Ginsters Wink

I really miss racing with you chaps, but it's a busy period, and I still need to rebuy a steering wheel...

Take care Smiley Ciao!
