It is good, this is what people do in GTR2 races, and the lines on the track draw it that way
thanks, I was wondering about this as well (and taking that same line, though with less impressive laptimes resulting from it).

Yes one of the rare track corners that for some reason uses a line beyond the race track, don't know why they don't re profile the entry. Just did some prelim laps in the RSR, 1:37.4 (race fuel) best so far for me, and its a handful but fun as ever! No chance of a podium with (all) beemers and capris available though.

Sadly that does seem acceptable at that corner on this track.

IMO it's a Micky Mouse track where you have to have almost four wheels off track to get anything approaching a flowing line. Don't like it but that's how it is. I sadly missed Zandvoort last week, one of my favourites, and will miss next week's race, so I'll be happy to get in a race at all and stop complaining!

Well I don't normally even think about doing a lap before I join the server on Thursday night & am usually about the same pace as MJ by the time we join the grid... But I've spent about 2 hours in the only BMW with a vaguely black & yellow paint scheme (BMW 3,0 CSL 3.5 12v) & am still 2+ secs off MJ's "prelim laps in his RSR". Looks like I'll need to upgrade to another 'white' 24v (I'm bored of Capri's & can't do Pork) p.s. Wouldn't mind seeing a bit of track time for the Jag's & Elan's or some of the other cars we've not used in UKPnG3 yet (that I'm aware of). Certainly think they warrent some miles when we seem to be racing the Capri vs Porka vs BMW every 2nd week.

-1 im loving the 70's racers, we had several years of just the 60's cars! Its refreshing to get to use these babies properly, though also happy that we use the other cars in different championships. 2hours praccy Legz?! your losing it mate. I did only 11 laps in the RSR and 6 in the BMW to get those times. You obviously cant handle fast cars

Just tried a BMW out in a case of 'know your enemy' took me all of 6 laps to bang in a 1:36.3 with full race fuel Tough up the front eh? They are quick but as pointed out above they eat tyres. I did a long run on med tyres and by the end of it was more than 2 secs off my early pace. If the Porsche is more consistent it may make up some places towards the end.

I'm not a big fan of the 70s cars, but my best lap so far in the white Fatz Alpina Essen BMW CSL 3.5 24v is 1:35.5 (with race fuel). I would probably be quicker in the Schnitzer, but I noted in another P&G3 race that this car has a tendency to blow its engine if you aren't careful. Mind you, that was at Silverstone, so it may not be an issue here.

https://www.simracing.org.uk/smf/index.php?topic=11664.msg209856#msg209856I try not to clash too much with the GTL series, no reason we can't run some 60s event though. Is a track that has been used in GTR2 races successfully, it is by no means a chicken run. I had several requests for built in tracks, and when I use them I get people complaining. But then I get people complaining about roller skates, yank tanks, pork, just about anything so I'll just keep plugging away. We can't have Cobras every week Clive

Tried the 12v BMW tonight for Legzys sanity managed a 1:38.3 after 6 laps but also managed only the same time in the RSR again this eve, so bit indecisive really an alien will get either into the 36's. Like that retro wooden dash in the 12V
