Moderator's Report

NPP loses it at the chicane and gets walloped hard by two following cars forcing him to retire. No other drivers have filed incident reports so this goes down as a racing incident.

Give the lad some breathing space, Clive. As someone who had to work out the relative performances of the P&G cars for the WSL, I know how difficult it is to please everyone all of the time Wink

Argh!!!!!!

No, no, anything but a Mini race.

Anyway, Matt knows better than to pay attention to any of my rantings!

Indeed, I firmly believe that Clive would complain about the colour of the envelope
if he won the lottery  Grin

I try to vary the cars between the series, this GT series repeats every 4 weeks, though
there could be some overlap at times with the Enduro or British Historic series.

I am really short of test time at the moment, so sometimes I am obliged to use tried and tested
car sets, I am away for the next 3 weeks, I could really use some help.
GT kindly assists with testing when asked  thumbup1
Anyone fancy putting together a track/car combo for one of the series?
I will do the admin, you just need to come up with a suitable track and some similar
pace cars. Tony had a readers wives drives series once which was fun.
I am not trying to push things on anyone, but if you have a fave track and can come up
with 3 or 4 cars that run within a second then PM me  tt1

The next event I need is a British Historic, (though any would be good) I was looking at Thruxton, but any UK track
that we havn't used yet is fine. Cars are whatever takes your fancy, I try to keep it
sensible, so a mix of cars that might have conceivably run together at some time.

Mallory Park used to be a good Brit track for GTL, sure it would be good for a BHTC round in P&G  Smiley

Indeed a good track for racing & we had another good GTL one there recently, but it's not one we currently have available for GTR2, so you'd need to check who the track creator is Mark & if we're authorised to use their tracks, it would require some testing.

I might do the same for Dijon, haven't raced there since at least 2009!

36.4 for me, but difficult to nail every apex and there's one corner in particular i can never get right.

A real expert (John) would have it in the 34s at least..

I've managed mid-34s in the Capri, but haven't tried anything else yet. I've never used the BMW before so it's a bit late notice to get a setup together for it, will give the Porsche a go later though.

Yep as GT says:
https://www.simracing.org.uk/smf/index.php?topic=11432.0

We already done Mallory. Nothing wrong with a repeat visit to a track that worked particularly well
but I would prefer to leave a bigger gap. Mondello? I guess, it has never awed me that one
might be good for some roller skates - Alfas, Tinas, Minis, even Escorts maybe

I havn't run any laps here for a few weeks ad have no idea what time I could get
I will probably take the IMSA or the 12v as I like him even if he isn't the fastest.

was that in the RSR Frex? with 40mins race fuel?
Im torn whether to take the RSR or use a Beemer for once. I can just see me having a spin in the RSR as it feels like i'm driving my nuts off to get a low 37 and after several laps my times dwindle to low 38's unless i am absolutely focused doing qually laps every time!

Yes, RSR 3.0 (Jagermeister livery). Can't remember the exact fuel load but it wasn't on a full tank, so my race pace will probably be similar to yours (37s).
