No problem Walt, I'd already made contact the previous lap, and I didn't notice any effects. The race started okay, but it was my first time in these cars, and after too many excursions I called it a day.

I fixed the classification of the Alpina at P&G 70s Group 4 - if it should be Group 2 let me know and I'll change it.

As Jarda Zacek still hasn't registered despite requests for him/her to do so, should he/she be barred from taking part in future races?

All the BMW CSLs are in Group 2 Dave.

Good race for me apart from the early spin, was surprised I was the only one in the Capri.

Jumped up to 2nd at the start after I avoided the stationary Mogget, you need to get your starts sorted Mogg  Roll Eyes. Took a couple of laps to really get upto speed by which time Mogg was on my case. Made an error at T1 when I braked too late & got into a bit of a slide, overcorrected & spun off!  Roll Eyes This dropped me back to around 8th or 9th. Had a good chase back up the field although I never really had a battle with anyone, every time I got near to the car ahead they span off. With John's engine blow up & all the spinners I was a bit lucky to finish 4th only a couple of seconds behind Alessandro's Porsche.

Congrats to Mogg (great drive), Rob & Alessandro.  clap clap clap

I can get reasonable starts in some cars (got a decent one in the Shelby Daytona Coupe at Suzuka on Tuesday), but others are just sluggish to "take off" with autoclutch. I wasn't stationary in the BMW, but I guess it probably looked like that to you!

Can't ban Jarda, I wouldn't have anyone to race if we did!
Can we register him? even without his email address and stuff
it would be better than having a guest each week.

Really? Your call. Maybe send him a pm to explain that he needs to register?

Errr..........If he hasn't registered he can't receive a PM?

He may not even visit this forum!

You probably have to catch him on the server.  Grin  And hope he can understand English.

I'm not sure registration is mandatory to race with us. He runs with us regularly so
should do really, I (or anyone who meets him on chat) will ask him to register next
time we race.

Jardas a clean decent racer, no reason to ban him because he hasnt registered ! If he was a wrecker or liability then it would be a different matter. Im guessing he doesnt speak English but enjoys the classic racing here.  Smiley

that was an scary race for me, The difference in speed in some corners from bmw and the porsche caught me by surprise thus in one time I made contact with Clive and spun him, Im so sorry for that, I even lifted a lot, thought u did ur braking ones and u brake again caught me by surprise, since I was so close to you there wasn't time for me to react and hit u,

as for the Race was fun till tires lasted, following a bmw in the tripple corners made me have some off track moments, since I had to brake for those corners to slow down not to hit the bmw and I wasnt used on braking in those corners and that translated in me going off track avoiding contact, a part from one time I couldn't avoid phspok as he went wide in the grass and I was right behind to follow and just made a little contact sorry for that did all I could.

Congrats to Mogget for the win great job mate.

Cheers guys looking forward for the next race

A few things I forgot to say:

1) Well done to Alessandro for doing what I couldn't and getting the Porsche on the Podium thumbup1

2) After my unfortunate demise, I spent the rest of the race watching Goldtop trying to figure out a way past Clive. I know from experience that trying to get past a BMW in a Porsche is an exercise in futility Wink

3) From watching the above I just have one other thing to say... Apexes, Clive! Apexes! Grin

LOL

Sure you are absolutely right John but by the time you were watching I was happy just to stay on the grey bit!

Grats to Mogget, Alessandro and errr..........Robert?

Please note that I have said nothing about the track, or the cars;  absolutely nothing, nowt, bugger all, not a word.  OK  wouldn't like anyone to think that I might moan a bit.  Roll Eyes

You seem shocked. Well, so am I. Just a bit lucky that some of the faster guys had problems.
Got a bad start. It was hard to tell if I was bogging or spinning the tires. Then had a good race with Alessandro for about 10 laps. He wasn't making many mistakes, so I had to be patient and get a perfect entry and exit in the last turn. It took a few tries to get it right, but then I was able to pull away from him. Much better than the last time I raced at this track.  Roll Eyes

But we cannot pm him nor is he beholdent to incident moderation if any were needed in the future.  Huh
