Ah - mea culpa, mea MAXIMA culpa. When you post a race it helpfully gives you the last post as well. Normally you delete this quote. As Fulvio said, I lazily posted the lot. May have had something to do with the multiple Peroni's that Mr NoBrakes forced on me after work I'll go and check the Novices post now...

Grats to Sky on a dominant win and to all those who managed to actually race around Spa. After upsetting a whole load of you over the Mclaren post, I then proceeded to spoil the race itself by using one of those M8f's!! I think I now know what the "F" stands for I still need to do some serious off line practice with these beasts to find out how to drive them. Sorry to anyone who got involved with a large orange thing that wobbled around Spa. I think GPL decided that I was a danger to shipping at about half distance and after a few trips into the armco and scenery. It knocked out 2 cylinders leaving me in cruise mode and safely behind just about everyone. The "F" stands for "Ferocious" of course

Well, I'm damn suprised to get both pole and win... It seemed like Clouds had some problems joining, and thats a shame - he would otherwise wipe the floor with everyone, since obviously he was the only one who practiced for that track.
I even didnt plan to race....but when i turned Igor on, I found I have enough time to join and I did so, since i love spa... changed some random things in a setup that was previously twitchy as hell, equalised the rollbars abit, this and that... And suddenly on my first timed lap I broke the 3.00, which i have never done before. After some more laps i did a 2.56, and that was pole who knows why...
When the race started, I regreted being first, because I couldn't see the flag with my narrow fov...i had to look left and try to drive straight at the same time, and it was not suprising that three people passed me before eau rouge, which seemed abit unsafe frankly... then, at the les combes turn, one car of those ahead started warping and spinning at the same time at several places at once...I hit it and stopped completely, but when I continued, only Ronnie was ahead... And at La Cariere he also went off, which got me back to first.
My setup was a bit wobbly still and I did half of the corners wrong, but never had a spin or a off... which couldnt be said about the cars behind, so I did 15 laps at my terrible pace and ended up winning... meh.

I wasn't able to pass from Eau Rouge a single time because of 5 or 6 CTD and after the last one, while I was waiting the restart of my PC, the race has been started without me...I was too late ! Damn PC, damn Windows, damn GPL damn all and damn me that I still waste my time with these stuff ! Grats to the podium guys.

I think that was me. Some internet connection issues cropped up at some very bad moments during the race leading to some warping at exactly the worst moments to have any warping. Very very sorry to everyone, especially Dean and Al. Car felt good, but all for nothing. The server lost me in the warp on lap 5 or so, so I'm classified 13th and disconnected, but I did soldier on and finished just ahead of JonnyO.

Got lucky through the lap 1 pile up & found myself up to 3rd behind Sky. With so many drivers behind delayed with resets & stop'n'go's, me & Ronnie were shaping up to have our own big battle over the podium, when suddenly without warning I got splattered into oblivion by Mark's car that seemingly teleported in from nowhere! I initially assumed that because of the terrible mirrors in the M8F, I'd simply not noticed Mark was right behind but then I realised I hadn't even heard his car or noticed him closing in on Prib either... thought I was going mad until I watched my replay: In pic 1, there's nobody around for miles but note how in pic 2 Mark has sneakily beamed in to a nearby field, then in pic 3 serenely passes through a fence & then sadly ploughs into me. Not sure if Mark lost sight of me & Ronnie too? A quick look at the server replay shows he got dropped for quite a while so I guess it was down to connection issues. Gutted to lose out on a really strong chance for a podium though - never seem to get the luck in GT's. Well done to Sky, Ronnie & Dean.

No problem Mark - I had the rural internet connection from hell last year so I know what it's like when it goes wonky. (I hardly dare mention that I crashed again later in the race when you warped across the track right into my path... )

Ahhh, nuts. (Funnily enough, in my reply it's you sneakily charging through the fence and into my Shadow)

I had a fantastic stable car with help from John and was ambitious after actually doing a bit of practice as well. 3:57 blank descent enough qual. I was very close to sneak away from t3 havoc but just got kicked round from a car that span backwards or something. Waited for all other cars to pass but other spinners didn t want to wait that long. The result was that one car that had to avoid the rejoin went off and hit me. Again I was flipped backwards. Frustration caught me and the rest of the race was a sad joke from my side . gz Sky and podium.
