Geoff65 is about to embark on an installation of PnGv3 on Windows7.

Is there an easy to follow guide anywhere that will get him up and running in time for this Thursday, complete with lobby registration and that green button on the launcher and anything else needed for UKPnG?  I can't remember half of it.

And please don't hijack this thead to talk about GTL like before

Is that cause you think Geoff65 might prefer GTL Clive? Wink

It was dead easy when I did it Clive, just followed the recommended steps from the PnG website Cool

Thanks guys, but installation was a snap....up and running beautifully. Getting it online is another kettle of smelly fish. I can't seem to track down my old online reg stuff for this and GTR2....the perils of losing a boot drive and a storage drive in a matter of a few months. Expensive business this computing lark.... Huh

Hi there, i have got a same sort of question.

My name is Stefan aka Postal. Recently I rediscovered the GT Legends game and have been running a couple of races on the Monday nights with much pleasure. Now that I got my desktop running properly again I think it is time to take the leap into P&G, but I have a few questions.

I am planning to purchase the steam version of GTR2. Can I make multiple installs? As I would like to have GTR and a separate GTR/PnG folder.
Does this work in Steam or do I have to move the installed folders to another drive? If this is possible, do I need the 1.1 patch, some terrain patch and No CD patch which I have read about?
Hoping you guys can help me out!

Greetings,
Postal

Don't know about steam but you are best off making a new, clean install of GTR2 and then converting it to PnGv3.
Use a separate install for GTR2 and it can be on the same drive as far as I know.

I don't recall having to use the 1.1 patch and the terain patch just needs applying.  You will have it.

Can't remember about the noCD patch.  Mine runs without and I can't remember if I've installed it separately.

You need someone with a memory to answer your questions really.   Grin

All patches are included in the P&G install.

OK, thanks for the replies guys. And to be complete for other people who are searching for this info:

It was as easy as i had hoped angel  Purchased GTR2 from Steam for € 5.99 Grin  Let the P&G3 installer copy the needed files from the Steam install to a new directory and with the included patches and lobby file i could enter the multiplayer lobby without any problems. You don't need to run Steam this way too.
Now, lets race!
