Moderator's Report

Red zone is clear.

Server replay time: 0h42m45s

Ed takes a reset on the last lap. As it is not possible to take a SnG a 30 second time penalty is added. (An actual SnG would not take 30 secs at Solitude & this might be reduced next season)

Server replay time: 0h43m52s

Paul Villiers was dropped from the server on lap 2 but did complete race distance. The result will be changed when I can work out how to do it.

Moderator's Report

A general point - some drivers do get distracted by chat. Please continue to post "Pit out" / "Pit in" - if you want. Also if you have a genuine question that's OK - but please no unnecessary chatter & try to avoid comments during the last lap until the session is complete

Server replay time: 0h00m56s

Dean & Arf go into T1 almost side by side. Dean holds his line. Arf drifts into the corner & there is contact. Neither driver had sight of exactly where the other was. Arf spins into the hay bales & bounces back into Sky. This is a contested side by side, although Arf could have helped by keeping an outside line. Sky was an innocent victim.

Server replay time: 0h04m43s

Hristo overtakes Natan in T.1, Natan overcooks his entry & either spins or there could be some warp contact with Hristo. Dean & Phil are caught in the aftermath. Racing Incident

  • Racing incident

Server replay time: 0h06m40s

Natan is racing with Phil & overcooks his entry to the turn at the end of the long straight. This spins him across Phil's bows. Racing Incident.

  • Racing incident

Server replay time: 0h11m16s

Natan spins in the last section coming to rest in mid track. Phil arrives round the corner - brakes hard but can't avoid a collision. Racing Incident

  • Racing incident

Server replay time: 0h39m00s

Phil is following Arf a little too closely & taps Arf's tail pipes. GPL crash box gives Arf a super boost into the stratosphere. It's the last lap & Phil slows to allow Arf to retake the place. Technically UKGPL rules don't encourage this but it is gentlemanly behaviour & provided it does not impede any other driver I leave this to driver discretion. Arf asks for no penalty. Arf needs a reset - as its the last lap he can't take a SnG & picks up a 30 sec time penalty. To restore justice Phil gets a rear end shunt penalty.

THIS POST IS FOR THE LIGHT & HEAVY RACES

Round X closes off the second season of Formula 2 racing. The venue is Solitude, a motorcycle racing track in Germany. It’s a long track with a combination of long flatout stretches & some interesting corner combinations. Trees have been strategically placed if you overshoot the fast corners. If you use asymetric sets ups it is a left handed track.

The series will run on two separate grids ~ The Lights will run on T7 & the Heavys on UKGPL 3. Please ensure you join the correct race. The Driver list is shown below & the Championship Table can be found here F2 Trophy

Handicaps will continue to apply to this race– please observe this rule as a failure to take the correct car will result in an exclusion.
In the Lights Hristo – Group II (BT14, Ferrari or Cooper). Evil Clive & Magic Arsouille Group III – any of the Group II cars or either Lola or either Lotus.
In the Heavys – Rainier – Group II, RogUk & Ed 76 – Group III.

A maximum of one reset is allowed per race & must be followed by a compulsory Stop & Go in the pit lane within two laps of the Reset. If you Reset on the last lap a 30 second time penalty will be awarded.
Incidents should be reported in the usual way.
In line with other divisions the races will be subject to full moderation in the red zone which will be to the speed bump at the crest of the hill – you’ll find it. The Moderator may chose to investigate any other incident, in addition to reported incidents & red zone incidents.

Please note that for UKGPL has introduced a system of penalties within each series for drivers accumulating yellow cards – see here
Penalty Points. Drivers incurring these penalties will receive a PM advising when a penalty has been applied & what race it should served.

Tell me if I am wrong, but I should already be the season 24 Lights champion !!???
I have 46 pts more than Roguk but he have to remove 25 pts (his 2nd worst result), so even in the case of victory, Rog could only score 25 pts (50-25).
If I am correct, I will choose the BT14 ...just for fun Wink

Assuming you were not involved in any incidents at Mosport then you are right David.  Roguk cannot catch you.

Congratulations on the Championship.

I tried the BT14 at Silverstone last season.  It handles well but it is very under powered....it isn't fun  Grin.  Not being last will feel like a victory!

Solitude never ran a four wheeled F1 Grand Prix, which is why Bill has styled it as a Motorcycle track. I normally find that after a corner or three I have reverted to type and only have two wheels...  Grin

David,
Congratualtions - you will be the Heavy's champion - maybe wait until next season for the Lights. I should also add my thanks for your part in winning another team championship for Black Night Racing.
As Phil said getting a competitive lap time out of the BT14 will be a challenge - you could try the Ferrari.

Thanks Billy ! Vive le Black Night Racing Team !

If there is a F2 championship in season 25, I would like to be part of the Lights.
But I think I will have to go back to Privateers for F1'67 Wink

About Solitude F2 race, I already drove the Dino Ferrari several  times (in season23) but never the BT14 so why not make a try ?
Moreover the Black Night team has 148 points more than the Clark Hill so whatever car I choose, the team should win !

That's why it's no point practicing either!   It's all pretty much decided,  so just all stay away & get ready for season 25 which is just round the corner.   ok?!

Are you saying your only motivation for participating is to deal with championship standings?  Roll Eyes Solitude in the F2 mod is a great joy!

Not at all (well, not entirely),  was just trying to join in with the jovial comments.
Actually, I've just taken a turn round there.  Have now completed 6 laps round here in a F2.    Admittedly I'm following the groove,  but it is more enjoyable if you have an idea of what's coming up (which,  you will of course!).

I know F2 has been promoted to Sunday prime-time,  but I still miss F2 Fridays.

The link to download the track & SRMZ web-site appear to be unobtainable. As we have raced Solitude regularly I expect that most people will have the track.
Paul if you are able to upload the track to your server that might be a help - prefer not to reschedule at this rather late stage.
Hope to see most of you on track on Sunday!
