Season 25 Historic Trophy (66) - Round 2 - Montlhery
A difficult circuit  to tackle with some fast sections and some technical bits as well. The "bomb hole" will test suspension setups of all the cars and there is even a banked section just for variety.  have fun

BEWARE, everybody needs practices before racing in Montlhery.

The first time I raced here, with the GPLRACER league, I did not even finish the 1st lap ...
You need to be very cautious especially at the terrific Cuvette de Couard.

Unfortunately, I will not be able to race next Tuesday.

Good luck !

Hi guys!

I was hoping to race tonight but I'm having trouble getting online into the sim.

I'm using a separate install thru GEM because my original install won't run the 66 mod. But when i connect it goes to the in-game multiplayer instead. It's quarter past 9 now so i guess i'll miss this one. Sorry about that but hopefully i get it fixed for the next round. Smiley

Maybe if you had survived and made a race of it, I might have stayed awake!! lol I blame you entirely!! Roll Eyes

I was cruising and still extending my lead steadily after you vanished and ( I thought)  only had to drive around to claim the podium. But...to finish first, first you have to finish!!  and daydreaming on the straight is a sure way to miss braking and turn in points. Guess which I did??!! stupid

I was looking forward to an interesting battle with Ronnie's big Brabham against my baby BRM powered rollerskate, it could have been great fun.

grats to the podium and the finishers !!

To crash while leading takes very little skill.  To disco on the last lap takes more patience.  My unreliable connection can't always be made to do that.  I saw no-one lapped, so I've a multitude lost to the Ethernet 'ere! Angry  Grumble!

Unlucky Martin!  A real pity, we were looking good for a very rare Antipasti 1-2!!!  In fact before Fran dropped out we were Antipasti 2-3-4!!  Shocked

Well I was cruising in last. Didn't do much prep and had no setup but took the Eagle because Tommy van O has released a graphics update. My pace down the straight was uncompetitive but it was the spins killed me.

Had to stop after lap 8 as my sister called to wish me Happy Birthday. (47 Sad) and as she is my elder sister, I had to take it...

I must say sorry to someone with a Lotus.During the lap 1 I have touched his car convinced to have enough space on the left, probably he have increased the braking when i was behind.(I must look the replay to understand which one was)
Anyway before lap 7 all OK, after a sequence of error until the fatal error at the Cuvette de Couard ,probably approached with a speed slightly faster than the normal. The car ended in a ditch without the possibility to move.My first experience with this division is started not bad (4 place in the first 4 laps)but ends bad.

Happy Birthday Paul ( belated)

So you should be nursing a hangover and wondering what happened and where the traffic cone came from? There is ALWAYS a traffic cone Grin

Or, 2x traffic lights not working signs.  In the hall, either side of the front door.   Apparently.

Anyway, happy Birthday whatever you ended up with Smiley
