Results and Replay Posted

Not so many racers tonight, A couple said they couldn't, was fun race, I should have taken a faster car... I went over the wall as well but found a
part where the wall was lower and jumped back 2 laps down., then did it almost again, smacked the wall this time, and gave up.
Server wise, I don;t think anyone got dropped, a few left due to offs, but no discoes I am aware of, and we were using my server.

Nice race. Cars fitted the track well. Made i noobish spin on lap 1. After that had a good race in my TR4, it was a nice drive too. Had a nice scrap with the two F250's of Frex and Mark.
Looked like a stable connection with the server indeed.
I'll be on holiday next week so i hope to see you all at the Lakeside track!

Poor result, but great fun! Unfortunate skirmish at the end of the first lap put me into the wall, and i suffered with dollops of oversteer from then on, gradually dropping further and further down through the field.

But the many laps battling with MJ and Postal made up for that, lots of fun. At one point the guilt of holding MJ up in my wayward handling Ferrari got to me and i tried to slow and signal for you to pass - only to find i had no headlights.. (must have lost them in that first lap). And all that acheived was to confuse you and you went wide, sorry for that  oops Decided that was a poor idea from then on and just drove my own race. Entertaining, but the possibility of losing the rear end was always nearby, and eventually my talent (lack of) ran out..! Fun race though.

Congrats to GT and podium.

Got to grid and couldn't see lights so used my clock to get a decent start. John got a better one and flew past me to take the lead and I soon had Giuseppe chasing me down. After a few laps I went a little too deep into T1 and he slipped past, but I was then able to slowly reel him and John back in as they contested the lead.

I eventually passed Giuseppe, but soon had some backmarkers to negotiate which I messed up and I had a flip  Shocked Car was ok but headlights didn't work so I was unable to acknowledge those that let me through after that, so thanks to those who did.

Set about chasing back and made up some ground before John had his spin and Giuseppe went over the bank leaving me in the lead. Had to ease back towards the end as I was marginal on fuel which made for a nervous finish with Ed closing in.

A lucky night for me then  Smiley

Good to see that there were no server troubles thumbup1

Yep the internet weather was calm last night, pings looked good as well, which was comforting.
There was an altercation at the start where Giuseppe and Clive both tried to occupy the same space
with some nasty results causing Clive to get flipped, and Geoffers to have contact.
The gap they were going for was not really there anyway, easy to say with hindsight
but if one had gone one way and one the other it wouldn't have happened  nono

I went over the wall twice, and managed to get back after being lapped, as there are sections
which are lower every few 100 metres or so.

Good fun though even if was eventually simply trying to unlap myself from Alex   Grin

I guess that Ed was still looking for the lights when the race started.

He didn't move and John went to the right.  I went left, aiming for the roughly TR4 sized gap between Ed and frex, when Giuseppe arrived and pushed me into Ed.  That spun me around to face the wrong way and then Geoffers had no option but to clip me and send me into a neat barrel roll, from which I landed next to the Armco, with the appropriate amount of damage.

I set off from there after everyone had passed me and, once I was heading in the right direction, found Geoffers still stationary on the grid.

I passed a few and towards the end I thought that I might catch Mogget too.  But it was not to be.  My tyres were good for the first three quarters of the race and I was still setting my best laps well into the second half.  I closed to within a couple of seconds of Mogget before my front tyres cried enough!  I was having to lift too much to stay off the grass in the long left hander and my chances of getting close to Mogget on the straight had gone.  Apparently he had woken up too!

Good to see Syd having a good run.

Grats to Tudor, Aged Ed and John.

@Ed   Team?   LOL  Come off it.   lol

The gap that I was going for was clearly there.  I just didn't expect another car, which I couldn't see but who could clearly see me, to try to wedge himself in the same space.

As you say, I should have followed John!

No, I didn't. Couldn't see them anyway. I was waiting for gap timing to start.

Considering that tiny problem, I lost "only" 5 places so it was all good but than I made mistake in second lap while trying to overtake Syd and 13th place is mine! Nice!  taz
After red mist left from my eyes (and rest of the grid) I set for hunt down every car in front of me without thinking is that for position or laping. In my journey to the second place I had some interesting but short  Grin batlles ... so 3,4 seconds behind winner GT is fine I guess.

@Ed   Team?   LOL  Come off it.   lol
We have saying over here and roughly translated it would be something like "from whole book, one letter left"

i had a crap race. Span it on my own after making up numerous places on the first lap whilst thinking look at those silly boys having incidents on the first lap  Roll Eyes that left me upto 10 secs behind the top 10. Had a few duels and chases with cars from 10th-13th and then with about 7 laps left, i lost the back end on worn tyres in one of the quicker corners and the car slid over the grass bank. I must have driven half the circuit around the outside trying to find a way back onto track but nada...so had to disgruntingly dnf myself  Angry

Like the track layout but i wouldnt use this again for league racing, its just too buggy

I think Matt deserves some praise for the wonderful selection of cars he produces week after week.

I agree, Tony. Sorting out car and track combos every week is a PITA as far as I am concerned, so it's nice when someone else does it for me Smiley As for Pembrey, I was seeing graphical artefacts now and again during qualifying and the race, but it didn't affect my driving.

I set off from there after everyone had passed me and, once I was heading in the right direction, found Geoffers still stationary on the grid.

Yeh the engine had died & I thought it was race over, but it restarted only for me to stall it again doing a u-turn  Roll Eyes.

Thereafter I just drove flat out all the way, passed a few cars early on, then had a lonely run until I caught Syd on the last lap. Tried hard to make a pass before the long straight but just succeeded in giving Syd a bump, sorry Syd, fortunately no harm was done & I had to settle for 7th place.

Congrats To GT, Ed & John.  clap clap clap

Actually that was the big plus of this round, it was great seeing a nice mix of old cars on track all getting sideways through the corners and lovely seeing a few of those old Jag Mk1's belting round  thumbup1
