I had a great race I did my best to pester Arf without being reckless, he drove really well under pressure for the whole race be it me or Al behind him. An opportunity came with about 5 laps to go with Arf doing the wall of death at the top of the hill but I was too far back to capitalise. Dave R caught me near the end and was really quick but thankfully dropped back without giving to much pressure.  A shame Al crashed- it looked unavoidable from my view- he had great pace. I hope the new chaps enjoyed the outing.. See you all next time.

Monaco – a track that I love & loath in equal measures. Never been very quick there. In the first three laps I traded stupid spins with Dave Curtis – but he ended up about 400 yards ahead & stayed there for most of the race. I will, however, be happy to get back to the more conventional race tracks.

Tony was very courteous letting me past about halfway through at Portious. Maybe a bit too courteous? On a track like this I don’t think it unreasonable to wait for a couple of corners to clear a lapped car at a point where neither lose too much time.
Welcome to Kurt & Walter for their first outing in UKGPL. Monaco is probably about as hard as it gets (although Nurburg has its challenges) you’ll have an easier time of it next race.

Paul – are you going to replace Dundrod? Looks like it will take some considerable learning if you are keeping it on the schedule.

I would be interested in views on Dundrod. I just love the feel of going for a drive in the countryside and it is a Novice's Nurburgring... did five laps last night and was starting to get to grips with it. There are some great straights to draft on but it is quite narrow and lots of the corners are blind... Silverstone is easier!

This is a great looking track.

Dundrod 1965 is a lot more picturesque than the 1950 version.

Aim for around 4.30 when learning. If your anywhere near 4.00 your doing very well. Then you can start dreaming of a time approaching 3.30!!

Forgot to say well done and thankyou to the backmarkers for extremely courteous driving last night!!

Dundrod.. I like it..ish, never really learned it properly. However... isn't it a bit long for newer drivers to learn? Not sure it fits this series.

Whatever race is next is there an up to date race calendar? The registration page seems to conflict with the results calendar.

You could try the Calendar  Wink

That's currently showing the next race as being Panchine on 17th September.

Dundrod is not one for the faint hearted!  But for those looking for inspiration, there's some on British TV tonight - ITV 4, Silverstone classic meeting at 9pm, with gravel traps instead of hedges.

There seem to be some handicaps on the horizon- can you shed any light Paul?

Grats to Podiums

Used as advised by Maddog the 65 light car set and had no probs running Monaco Rocks.
Was having a lonely time in 5th place when an incident ahead put me up to 4th,from then till Tabac on the last lap had a great scrap with AL  pushing me in the Fez, lucky for me i had the 33 which was slighty quicker to accelarate out of the bends plus its almost inpossible to overtake at Monaco almost untill AL passed me at Tabac on the outside. The most exciting and intense race ive had with the 65 cars. Will miss Panchine do to hols but will be back for Spa.
