I thought about my rare win last week, I reckon it must be linked to having a little pre-race practice (Is that cheating? Undecided Wink), so I'll be doing the same for this one.
So move over front of the grid, I'm coming through! wheelchair Grin

Hmm, have troubles to set F430, seems slow with low and high wing, with hard or soft suspension. Might be an interesting race. Cheesy

Hope to join you guys for this one. Not turned a sim wheel for about 3 weeks so bit rusty. Smiley love this track but never seem to do well here, the porkers get too unbalanced with all the cambered switchback corners and kerbs.

Cracking race that, really enjoyed it.  Smiley

Qually was a great 4 way battle that kept changing order. Twice I thought I'd nailed pole with a quick lap only to have it beaten each time.
Race was more of the same, TT pulled out a quick 3 sec advantage but 3 of us charged on at qually pace for the first half of the race for 2nd to 4th.  :fencing:I was in a team sandwich and the pace was relentless. I finally made a small error running on a grass verge allowing Apex past and it was all the invite he needed.
I chased after him again but as soon as my (hard!)rears reached 15 wear I started to develop bad oversteer and the car became a real handful, spinning me once. Fortunately us front 4 had pulled a 20 second lead over the rest of the pack and I was glad of it in the final phase of the race as I had to slow my pace by 1-2 secs a lap to avoid spinning.
Finished 4th. Congrats to the podium, you guys were fast and consistent  Cool

That was a disaster in the second half. That car was too slippy i think i might have set the rear wing a bit too low. But was fun and such big grid was good too.

Wasn't satisfied with F430s behaviour, was not willing to turn in and had a nasty power oversteer if pressed too quickly. Made some compromises but I wasn't happy with it. Seems like other cars were equally difficult to set. I had 4 wing, anything more and I'd be eaten on a straight. Tyre wear was terrific, had 27 on my left front, two mistakes made me lose precious time but I was more lucky than I deserved. Well done racers, nice to see better grid and some guys come back, with some new here. Smiley Kako ide, životinjo strašna?  Wink

BTW, Legzy, you can change the car...  Kiss

I assume you went for soft tyres all round TT?

I used wing 4 for qualifying and 5 for the race - it just felt more likely to stay on the road. I also used medium front tyres for the race with soft rears to try to keep the wear and balance even. As a result I sacrificed top speed and time early in the race but could race as hard as I could throughout. Front left wear was about 12 at the end. The gavel tends to grab you at this circuit and I didn't want to risk it.

Super race last night. Very enjoyable.  Smiley

Qualifying was very exciting for a change.

Made my usual slowish start to the race and was under pressure from MJ & Apex immediately - MJ getting very close on one occasion to going past. I seemed to be way too slow at T1.  Roll Eyes After a few laps things settled down with TT a constant distance in front and MJ just far enough back for me to relax a little.

About midway through the race MJ & Apex seemed to drop back a bit and I started to close up on TT. Unfortunately as soon as I got close to TT mistakes started to creep in including one very scary off track moment in which I nearly took Apex out.  Shocked  In the end I was lucky to finish 2nd after Apex had an unfortunate last lap incident.

I was lucky that the car handled nicely throughout the race with just some predictable understeer in the 2nd half of the race as the front softs lost a bit of grip.

It makes such a difference to races when we have a good turnout. Thanks all for racing.  Smiley
