Moderator's Report

Complaint raised for consistently driving beyond the track limits. Having watched several drivers I cannot single out Postal as being worse than others and therefore I will not be awarding a penalty. I realise that the race thread contained graphic examples of what was expected during the race but this seems to have been largely ignored. In future perhaps a more definitive instruction could be posted regarding which off-track concrete areas are on/off limits.
Therefore I advise all drivers to heed any track limit instructions offered by the race administrator.

Quick wit huh? some of us still have to work for a living young Clive.
Capris are "awkward" here, I expect the other cars to be more nimble at this place.
A Capri might win, but it will be pressed harder than at some other tracks I am hoping.

In testing I was fastest in the RSR, which usually means it will wipe the floor
but 3rd party testing suggests it is actually a close match.

I did 45's race pace in a short sesh but can prob get into 44's now I know what to aim for.  Hard to gauge without some benchmarks so be nice to see what the beemers and capris can do. I'm hoping understeer slows them down a bit over a lap  Undecided

Big problem with the Capri is that, after about a lap and a half, the XD panel looks like a set of traffic lights that are seriously on the blink.

I have the distinct privilege to introduce Johnny X, the newest driver on the WSL Racing Team. I have been racing P&G v3 online against Johnny X for almost a year now. Welcome aboard, I am glad that you found your way to this league as well. Now lets score some points. - WC

Welcome JohnnyX. I am sure you will enjoy your racing here.

I tried the Beemer but couldn't get it round faster then a mid 1.46. I don't think I'll find time for more setup-tuning or trying the other cars. I did see Otto on the server doing a 1.44 with the RSR as did Giuseppe in a Beemer. So it looks closely matched indeed.

For those new to our league, we will all have to be on our best behaviour for this race and follow the instructions on the race announcement:-

(5) Please follow the SROUK guidelines for using kerbs etc. Please keep 2 wheels on the track surface (kerbs do not count as track surface)
Excessive cutting of corners will seen as cheating and the results may be altered to reflect this.

Remember that this applies at corner entry and exit as well as at the apex.

I don't think that I will be racing this time, so Johnny will need to take my place and score some extra points for the WSL Racing Team. I will be driving to Scotland early on Friday morning, so I prefer to relax on Thursday evening (as opposed to getting stuck behind Clive) Grin

To support CLive's post, not that I have seen a lot of kerb cutting, but please have a look at the examples in this thread:

Everyone should be stuck behind Clive and preferably a long way off!

Although, Scotland seems a tad excessive!

After the race at Mondello last night I'm not too sure about scoring many points against the guys here. First race so I'll be trying to keep it on the black stuff and out of everybody's way.

Johnny, that sounds like a winning strategy to me. If I am able to race this week, it will be without any practice. But hopefully I can show up to turn a few laps.

EDIT: I was about thirty minutes late. Hope that everyone has a good race.
