I would say not to worry if the grid is mostly RSR's for this race. It will provide some great racing. I am considering one of the 60's prototypes, but we'll have to wait to see.  Wink

EDIT: I think that anyone able to finish the 17 laps in a 60's prototype machine is a winner.  Grin

............... Someone check what car Clive is in as that will be the fastest of the set  Wink

It's a secret!

And I always go on the practice server in the wrong car, just in case MJ is in there.  Tongue

NB  At Snetterton I continued this practice into the race as well!

I remember doing pretty well in a Shelby Daytona at this track during a WSL practice race, but I can't remember the 70s cars that I was up against....

I believe it was the Porsche 2.8 and the Porsche 906-6 Carrera. We race there on Dec 10th

Well it was a choice of the 911 or the 906-8 for me. So after some testing it looks like the 911, at least I can keep it on the track. I still really cannot get on with the 906-8 although when I do keep it on the track its faster than the 911. It really puzzles me why it is so difficult to drive (or why I find it so difficult). I have always had problems stopping it, applying the brakes seems to give the steering a mind of its own & predicting where it will go is a lottery. I really wanted to give it a run here but it looks like I will be joining the 911 hoards.

Cya tomorrow.  thumbup1

Exactly the same for me, dunno why exactly, wasn't a problem last time I gave it a try on another track (Spa I believe). Even the GT40s are far more predictable ! Maybe we should try with a huge negative front toe-in...

Be interesting to know if they have tweaked the 906-8 as I found it less easy to drive on the limit too. It was a pleasure to drive in p&g2.1 and I think it sounded better than it does now. Could just be a setup issue  Undecided we need a 906 sports car race to find out  Wink

Not heard much mention of the Pantera here, nobody taking it? Thought it would be pretty quick around here.

I found both the Pantera and the 906-8 completely undriveable!

I keep waking up in the middle of the night, sitting bolt upright and  eek screaming, because I have to drive a 911!

I take it you don't find the GT40 option particularly favourable, Clive?

At Preluk the 906-8 was slower in reality than the "ordinary" 906 even though it was potentially faster
mostly because the rear is noticeably heavier than the normal one.
I think the standard 906 is a race winner. But then I think any of the cars is a race winner in the right hands.
Panty is my prefered option, the GT40 is too big for to me drive well here, the Panty is kerb sensitive
but I like it.  punk

I decided not to test the RSR because I knew that I would get spoiled to its supurb nature.
