Had a great race. Surprised to be on pole, but as usual lost several places at the start. After the first corner confusion, Matt was in the lead, with me 2nd and Eifel hot on my heels. We had a great battle in the first part of the race. Must say it was most annoying that whenever I managed to squeeze the nose past the Daimler in a corner, Matt would effortlessly power away as soon as the track straightened
Eifel got past me when I fumbled too much in a couple of corners, and 2 laps later, he nailed Matt at the same place, only for both of them to run wide, so I could dive under and steal the lead, LOL
Managed to hang on to it and slowly build up a gap. Later in the race, I came upon a black stripe with smoke hanging over it. My heart sank when I saw my newfound team mate Eifel at the end of it, slowly limping back to the pits with bad damage
Got a bit of a shock when a yellow Anglia appeared just behind - thought I had a 5 sec gap. Penny finally dropped and I let the leader through
Sorry if I held you up.
LOL, no not at all - thanks for letting me past. I did wonder if you might think I was Bill and start racing me
One last thing - had quite a lot of stutter mid race - anyone else see low FPS?
And finally, is there a lap counter anywhere - I was totally lost at the end.
I had some stutter too; mostly at the entry to the right-hander at the end of the start/finish straight. The other places, it wasn't too bad
There's a lapcounter in the Motec display. If you cycle through the screens, it shows up (There's a button to do this, which can be reassigned of course) Also, the XD addon I believe most are using will show it - although at least in my case, its display of the total # of laps is completely screwed up - showed 90 laps in this race!
Surprised and most pleased with the win. Very considerate of all the aliens to be out of town...
Thanks to Tony for organising it and again thanks to Bill for finally luring me back. These first few races have been cracking good fun - can't believe I managed without GTL-fun for so long
Cheers,
Erling
