Hi Clive, good to see you over this side.
The quickest cars are the F512 and the 917K but the Alfa, Matra and Lola aren't too far behind and might even have the edge on tighter tracks. The 908s and the 312 are there as a slightly easier alternative to their bigger brothers, but again won't be too far off the pace. Don't forget that it's a limited drive championship so drivers will all have to take slower cars at some point.
I would guess a target pace of 1:30 around Monza60 would be in amongst it (a bit like GPL?) but I'd expect some fellows to be 4 to 6 secs quicker than that. If you're off the pace and find yourself being lapped don't worry....as always it's up to the driver lapping to pass you safely so just wait for them to make a move. Top tip, enable your virtual mirror in game for a better view.
There is no pre-race dedicated chatroom as such. When you enter the game online you will see a chat icon near the bottom left of the screen. Click on it and you can type messages in the box that appears but no chat during quali or race please as it can be distracting to some. You can customise your default quickchat messages to the usual ones if you wish.....hi, gla etc.
Re setups and gear ratios, the options differ from car to car and depend on how each one was made. Some cars only have final drive option (not sure if this applies to all WSC cars) while others have individual gear options.
The % figure in xd is the engine health value. If you rev the nuts off some cars the value will decrease until the engine eventually blows. I can't remember it being a problem with these cars as long as you're sensible.
Hope that covers everything Clive and look forward to seeing you on track.
This does look a great series. How do the cars feel? What's the reason for dropping the 917? Surely that F512 needs it as an opponent?
I'm away in Italy before this round so wouldn't leave me much time to install, configure and test in time but might give it a shot.
Cars take a bit of taming and getting used to, but they are very rewarding to drive once you get the hang. Copy your ffb part from your PnG plr for a familiar feel
Only the 917L has been dropped....because it is a dog. The 917K is very much on the menu
Have fun in Italy and hope to see you on track.
