Surprisingly one of my rare good ones although I really don't like this track
and I had not done a single lap for practicing before race night.
Spontaneously decided for the Porsche, but remembered that I still
have lots of Porsche setups from my very beginnings years ago over
at GTLDK's LeMans series when I drove a Porsche throughout the season.

Good quali and a short but nice fight with Tony in the opening stages of the race.
Then the first of my offs, both caused by sliding over the curbs.
Was able to pass Roger when Tony had his first off, then had my second one but
again could pass Roger after another nice fight. Clean racing - thanks!
Eventually I was lucky to climb another two places through the pitstop of SortedGeeza
and Tibernius' bad luck.

Hungary is another of my unbeloved tracks but i'll be there  Smiley

Enjoyed this layout of the Hockenheimring more than i expected. I already made up my mind that i would pick the Opel for this race, although it sure needs a lot of tweaking to behave itself a little bit. I thought i had it covered, until the game decided it would be funny to run without FFB from lap 9 on Roll Eyes
Had no illusion that i could challenge any Beemer tiiS drivers, but was confident i could keep a reasonable pace and hope for some nice battles. My start wasn't as good as usual; got a lot of wheelspin then lifted too much out of the rev range. Then had nice battle with Geeza and Tibernius and later on with Clive in his screamin Skyline. ( I am not sure if we swapped paint at the left hander where you went wide Clive. It went a little tight at the entry of that one  Tongue)

See you all next week!

Well, since my race history this year so far has consisted of writing a car off, 2 disconnections, a server/track related race restart, a race where I ran out of fuel despite putting 5 laps extra in and now a DQ for seemingly nothing, I think I'll go back into "retirement". Good luck to all of you for the rest of the season, maybe I'll be back for the next one.

C'mon guys, BMW 2002 is fastest car in average itself, but the "s" version with it's nuclear power plant is for girls in high heels as they couldn't press the accelerator to the metal. Grin It's just another class.
I can't say that I have squeezed from this Ford maximum, but it was nearly there, maybe 0,3-0,5 secs could be faster on ideal laps. But compete with 2002s is too much for poor Escort.
Thx for the race.

Well Dimetrio, it may have been girly of me to use the 2002 S, but you're here, racing against a bunch of guys who're obviously as outclassed by you, as the poor Escort is by the 2002 S.  Maybe there was more than one girl on track Monday..  Grin

What a chap wears in the privacy of his own home whilst sim-racing is his own business.

The medical staff say that I could be out of therapy if all goes well, but whether I will be in the right state of mind to face another race remains to be seen.

Arnold has threatened that he will appoint Mabel as my therapist, so I think we can assume that I will most definitely feel miraculously cured by then!!!!
