Notes:
(1) It's best if all drivers can make sure they are connected before the Qualifying session as drivers on track during qualifying will not see cars that join after they are on track until they go back to the garage.
(2) Please make sure you are fully aware of the SimRacing.org.uk Rules.
(3) The AI control should be turned off so that you have control of the car at all times, including pitting. Your player file should therefore read
Autopit="0"
Force Autopit Off="1" // Forces autopit always off
No AI Control="1" // AI never has control over car
If you still finding pitting problematic, experience tells us that its less to do with positioning and more to do with approach speed. A slow approach to pit crew chief has proved most reliable.

Special Notes: None.

hi there Tony. I noticed something about server problems with the Simbin one. Do we need to switch over to the ABB version for this event?

Yes please. Until further notice, all future races will be using the Altbierbude lobby. Any problems, shout out.

OK Tony, I believe i have my former install of GTL with the ABB lobby still on my PC. I reckon if i install the required cars and track i would be ready to go?..

P.s. do you know if this lobby switch is needed for PnG too? Do not see it in the announcement post, still mentions the Simbin lobby.

Just GTL as far as I'm aware. P&G uses the GTR2 lobby.

Help needed!
used the first install of GTL for the ABB lobby. So far so good, as i can see the lobby.
Made a new profile to select and buy the cars, but i seem to have no force feedback. Did a kalibration with the Logitech profiler. Tried my other Simbin install and all is fine. When i go back to my new game, still no force feedback.  Sad

Any advice would be welcome.

Copy the force feedback info from your old .plr file into your new profile .plr file?

That was a tough, but entertaining race.  Quite liked the track, and the Nissan was a wonderful drive here.  It really handles well, once you get the setup tweaked to your liking.

Race start was somewhat hectic for me, as I was still trying to improve my qual-time, when 'next session' appeared.  Just had time to load race setup - and notice that Clive had claimed 2nd on the grid. Very impressive in an Escort!  Shocked

Dunno what happened at the start, but Clive was absent and I slipped into 2nd. Dimetrio disappeared like the Roadrunner, and I soon had Tony's Beemer looming in my mirrors. He powered past on lap 3 or 4, but fell off on the following one, returning 2nd to me.  Not about to get lonely though, as Matt seemed intent on keeping me company, some 2-3 secs behind.  Did my earnest to increase the gap, but it went agonizingly slowly, with 0.1 sec per lap. Around midrace, it suddenly started shrinking rapidly.  Don't believe I had slowed, so apparently Matt had found a quicker way to get round.  Gap seesawed a bit over the following laps, but just as he was getting real close, he was suddenly gone.  Didn't see what happened, but with empty mirrors, I could breathe a sigh of relief.  Pit board confirmed a gap of around 7 secs.  It dropped on some of the following laps, but with less than 1/3 left of the race, I could hang on to 2nd, if I could keep pushing reasonably - and not do anything stupid  Smiley

Grats to Dimetrio on winning. Very chuffed with 2nd myself under the circumstances - in my mind it almost counts as a win, as Dimetrio is obviously stranded in the wrong quadrant of the galaxy..  Wink

Proud of having won the series too - it wasn't easy..  Smiley

Thanks to Tony for organising and keeping it all together.

PS: Tony, did you forget to change the time setting for the race ?  Announcement states race time as 18:00, which is what I used in offline practice.  Looked quite good with the 'artificial' light, but in yesterday's race, it was most certainly daylight.

Cheers,
Erling

Sorry that I was absent from the grid for the final round  Undecided

Especially as I had finally found the sweet spot in the Escort setup to claim 2nd on race fuel, but a phone call at the wrong moment ended any dreams of a great final race.

Congrats to Erling on the championship win, and to Dimetrio on being in a league of his own with those lap times!!

Thanks to Tony for organising and for bring patient with me as I struggled to get myself up and running in GTL.

Maybe next season I can join in again and hopefully offer some competition to the fast boys.

Awful night for me. Great track, fantastic car, carp driver. Way too many unforced errors. One to forget I'm afraid.

@ Clive, what happened?

@ Roger, never, ever, quit out unless the admin tells you to or other drivers are complaining about a lag problem etc. If you are able to join the track and your lap times are being recorded accurately there is no problem. There was a possible track file miss-match issue but these usually vanish as soon as the race starts.

@ Erling, yes I forgot about the time.
