Grid/server capacity: 28

RACE ONE

Practice: ~19:20 (60 mins)
Qualifying: 20:20 (10 mins)
Race: 20:30 (12 laps)

RACE TWO

Practice: ~20:50 (5 mins)
Qualifying: 20:55 (10 mins)
Race: 21:05 (12 laps)

Track: Mantorp Download this

Cars allowed: Volvo P1800 Download this

Time of Day Setting: 14:00
Start: STANDING
Tyre wear: Normal
Fuel consumption: Normal
Pit stops: Not required

Server: UKGTL Mondays
Password: see above

Notes:
(1) It's best if all drivers can make sure they are connected before the Qualifying session as drivers on track during qualifying will not see cars that join after they are on track until they go back to the garage.
(2) Please make sure you are fully aware of the SimRacing.org.uk Rules.
(3) Driver lists can be found on the championship standings page
(4) The AI control should be turned off so that you have control of the car at all times, including pitting. Your player file should therefore read
Autopit="0"
Force Autopit Off="1" // Forces autopit always off
No AI Control="1" // AI never has control over car

Special Notes: Note earlier race start time than usual

Goldtop won the first two rounds, will he increase his points tally here?

Doh!!!  I should read the race posts and rules more closely.....

I thought that there was only a single "official" race at each circuit and that the voting for a second race was just for a fun run. It transpires that there are 2 races at each venue lol!!!  Should have stuck with the 2nd race and maybe netted a few more points.... ah well, at least it gives Goldtop a fighting chance now that he has a lead??   Roll Eyes

Tony have a strange problem - don't know if it's a problem for me but although I've raced the Volvo before it doesn't want to show in the eligible cars list for this track or a number of other tracks.

Down loaded, a number of times, from our site and installed a number of times.  I can buy cars and see them in my garage (3 different cars purchased) but I can not find any them when I try to drive one.

Advice please!!

Had hoped to race here but GTL seems to be one pace forward and one back.  Tony has been giving me advice in his usual help full way.  Need to sit back relax and try and sort out methodically.  It'll be the weekend before I can find sufficient time to put to this important job.

Great to hear from you Bill.

I had read about many UK homes having lost power after the last storm, and wondered if you might be affected.

Do you have the PC back now, and with dual-boot option ?

Cheers,
Erling

Thanks Erling for your concern, very lucky at Burnham on Sea. Our little bay has its' own little micro climate protected by hills and Somerset and Welsh headlands. All latest storms have arced around us.

Have PC back but not dual boot, I've only got the older drive connected - newer drive, with Win 8 and all my programs is unavailable. Spent ages sorting  IP home page emails etc, also my old copy, on USB memory stick, of GTLDK download for GTL. Tried to rush it but have problems which indicate to me my copy of GTL is corrupted and Direct X 9c is missing - hence  need  clear my weary old brain for a while and try and sort out over weekend!

Glad to hear the storms haven't affected you Bill - hope the same goes for the rest of you UK'ers.

Sorry to hear about your ongoing computer problems.  Wish I could help, but very difficult without 'hands-on' possibility.  You are aware that DirectX is up to v. 11 now ?  Probably best to get the newest one (Although, if you're in an XP environment, the highest IS v. 9, as far as I can tell).

Cheers,
Erling

Tony (and others  Smiley), I've been wondering: Do we have an official 'present yourself' / 'face to a name' thread somewhere in the forums ?

Have been looking around, but not found anything.   I think it would be nice to know just the basics of my fellow racers, like age and profession etc, now that I 'meet' up with you guys every Monday.  Anyone else feel the same - or do you know each other (too) well already ?  Wink

Cheers,
Erling

Thanks Erling, checked and have Direct X 11 installed.  Have obtained new copy of GTLDK and intend to install and go through step by step tomorrow morning when I'm fresh.

Indication of missing storms here at BoS, cut the lawn this morning.  Grass box was still dry inside - no fresh cut wet grass stuck to it after I finished and started to clean up the mower.

Good to hear your computer probs might be coming to an end and that things in BoS are drying out a little, Bill.  Grin

Your lawn must be looking a lot better than mine!! and I am only just a few miles up the road in Bristol. I definitely could not describe the area of grass that I have as "lawn" anymore, the rain has run off the garden and literally cut channels through it washing away soil and grass. I have seen better looking construction sites!!

Methinks some re-turfing will take place when (if) the ground dries out, probably some time around next September???
