Not usually a fan of heavy US metal but that is such a cool list of classic metal that I couldn't resist  Smiley
Downloaded the v8 pack and the track, just need to find some time to practise them now!

Good to hear MJ. At least you will be very familiar with the circuit.

I had a quick race offline against the AI and improved my previous times which I hadn't expected. Also these cars look and sound glorious. If your able, crank up the sound  walkman

Just finished a race length session and my tank of choice was in the 2:40's. Tyres get a bit 2nd hand for the last third of the race so corners and braking become very drifty.

Only tried one car so far, did a 2:40.1 in the camaro after a few laps. Need to try some others. Felt a bit archaic and wooden after a week of racing p&g sorry to say.

Don't think I've done a lap yet. Been too busy with work and restoring an old mtb in the evenings.

Had many practice laps and a short race (  Sad had to quit after 7 laps in last place due to suspension damage) in the Cougar
over at GC's MuscleCarLeague yesterday (track: Jops Siffert), but the Cougar doesn't seem the right one for me here  Sad .

Remembered that I did a MuscleCarLeague race at Road America about two years ago in the Mustang TA (PB at that time
2:38.7; finish: DQ due to ignoring a stop&go penalty  Roll Eyes ), found some old setups and decided to change the car.
Maybe I didn't improve over the years or the Muscle Car guys at GC modified the car in the meantime - just managed to
reach a 2:39.7, but wasn't able to run some more consistent laps without faults and damage.  We'll see.  Undecided

Down to 2:38.4 in the Mustang TA in a nearly perfect lap and with a modified setup - that surely will be my limit.
Tried the Shelby GT500 too, which maybe will be faster but much more difficult to drive.

I tried a couple of cars last week and the Mercury seems the nicest balanced at this track, but I am not fastest in it somehow. The Mustang TA feels most race car here, but it suffers from bad understeer (didn’t do much tweaking though) The Shelby is nice too, but I can’t seem to string laps together due to horrible brakes (yes, even more than the others!
Mmmm looking at the times posted here, I got my work cut out tonight.. That’s if I can overcome my cold which is bothering me right now. Hope to see you all tonight then.

Guys, check your fuel usage to make sure you have enough for the race.

I set out to do a full race length test yesterday.  Based on our races the previous weeks, where I had plenty left at the end of the races, I topped up the tank to do exactly 18 laps.  However, XD predicted I would only have enough for 16, and it was correct, I ran out after 16 laps.  So better check extra carefully, or just add enough for a few extra laps to make sure.

Cheers,
Erling

I also did a full length test race and ran out of fuel on the final lap!

I think getting out of the gravel can eat up fuel so add extra

Good pace specialk, I've only managed 39's in a couple of cars. Biggest disappointment was the Dodge charger with its dodgy gear spacings that make it a real handful downshifting and braking. Some cars in set are certainly better modded than others. The Dodge also had about 20-30 psi too little in the tyres!

The Dodge was one of the cars that I felt might benefit on the longer straights.
