Moderator's Report

Clive Loynes claims that for a 2nd time on the same (1st) lap he was hit by SuperSWIFT.
The replay doesn't support this claim. The 2nd incident shows SuperSWIFT who appears to keep his line and is almost level with Clive. Clive changes his line and turns into SuperSWIFT, the glance causes a slow spin for Clive who ends up stopped in the middle of the track with the remainder of the field fast approaching. Bob had little chance to avoid a huge impact.

GT40s at Le Mans sounds good Grin We always used to have an end of season race at Le Mans in GTL, so how about keeping it up here in P&G. Mk2s & Gulf Mk1s should fit the bill nicely. Maybe up the fuel usage & make a pitstop necessary!

Please not the chicane ridden modern version.

Ummm, well we might be getting GT40s next week.... do we really want them the week after as well?
I could have another go at Next week easy enough. Gt40s at Le Mans with an enforced pit stop perhaps
sounds reasonable, not everyone likes stops, but it would not be as long as the endures.

Is the 1970's Le Mans not available for P&G?

(it is for GTL)

GT40s at Le Mans would be a fitting end to any series of PnG imo (although they're not my favourite car). The earlier VLM track version would be my choice as it is just so immersive.

Would the Vette Grand Sport keep up?

Not the same as the GTL version (doesn't have the famous diagonal start line up) but must be worth investigating? http://www.nogripracing.com/details.php?filenr=27693

That's better than I can manage in the TR4. However, while I was online briefly yesterday, I saw Giuseppe do a low 1:29 - don't know what car that was in but I've never even come close to that with race fuel and hard tyres in any of the cars.

I'm still not sure which one to drive - probably the Alpine is fastest for me but it's also slightly dangerous. Alfa is the next fastest and safer option. We'll see ...

General feeling seems to be that the Alpine has an edge in the right hands, though we had several Italians
in Alfas last night, at least two were under 1:30  Shocked
I like the TR4, though it is a bit slower than the others, If I want to keep up then I will probably use an Alfa
if I want to have more fun I will use a TR4 as long as there is someone to race with.

I can't say that I am all that keen on a GT40 race at Le Mans. The VLM track looks fantastic, but races at Le Mans always end up being rather boring (at least as far as I am concerned). Lotus Elans at Brands Hatch sounds good though Cool

I have decided to make next week's sports car final at Le Mans, being as it's sports cars 'an all
The week after will be "something else" The ELans at Brands or somewhere similar idea appeals

Not sure who I hit on first lap, huge cloud of blue smoke and no chance to avoid. Very sorry, I did the rest of the race with the car damaged but made it to the finish albeit lapped twice. Good fun, Bob.
