Moderator's Report

Walter is unable to control car after hitting invisible object.
Whilst the race admins try to check that the 3rd party add-ons to P&G are error free sometimes things get past us.
No blame on Walter and no penalty. Racing Incident.

  • Walter Connadvice — Hits mystery track side object

Goldtop gets his braking all wrong at Mulsanne corner and wallops Johnny X. Definitely Goldtops fault but Johnny has asked that no penalty be given and we respect his wishes. Lucky boy Goldtop!

  • goldtopadvice — Lack of skill at tough corner. Victim has asked for no penalty to be made

Any version with those two chicanes along the Mulsanne Straight is better than the "Roman Road" version. I am almost asleep when I finally get to the end of the Mulsanne Straight in the 70s version of the track.

If you have the version with the poxy chicanes in it there is no option but to get in the Gulf.

Personally I would rather have the 60s version as used in GPL with no chicanes at all!  The era that the GT40 came from.   thumbup2

I find that I nod off more on the approach to Indianapolis rather than on the Mulsanne.

Or leave it as it is and pray 14 times to land safely (unless you are in a Porsche or Modena) ...

Besides that jump, it is the best version that i`m aware of...don't take too serious my complaining.

Errr never mind, i`m OK with 60`s version ...

I guess it doesn't matter, because I probably will not be taking part in this race anyway. I find the really long tracks rather boring, but I hope that you all have a great time!

Can't make this race due to work.

I won't be crying in my sleep over it though  ................ but I might fall asleep faster, if I picture myself going down the Mulsane for the 13th time  Grin

I personal prefer the VLM version and don't have any problems going airborne because I slow down before the jump. Simples.

This is awkward, whichever version I choose there are detractors.
The VLM versions have an unrealistic jump before Mulsanne, and it is unrealistic, I have driven over that bump
and you hardly know it's there. granted in a hire car... and I don;t like the chicanes at the start or on the straight
boring for some they may be, but in a race the different speeds on the straight usually makes for some drafting  Grin

The 60's version has no armco so if you go off at some places you go off into a void

the 70's philrob version has barriers and is nice, but the start sequence is screwed, there are no lights and
the timer doesn't start until 2 secs after the man drops the flag, which on here is usually a recipe for disaster

I think it's safest to stick with the 60s we currently have which has red to green that is in sync. Go on Green is ok.
Just try not to fall off becuse if you go far you will go forever.  Shocked

Done!  Shake on it.

You can see where you are going in the practice session too!

Well I tried all versions and for driving these cars I reckon this 60s version is the right option  Cool

Dunlop Curve is actually a corner now instead of just an acceleration zone and the drafting down Mulsanne will be a lot of fun. Can't wait  Smiley

And I'm feeling chuffed because I have actually managed a lap with the aero package still intact!
