Moderator's Report

No reported incident.

During the first lap (red zone), there was an accident between Francesco and Fabio.
Doni was an innocent victim.
Hopefully the 3 racers could continue.

Server replay time: 0h01m08s

Side by side contact between Francesco and Fabio.
It happened on the Esses just after Tarzan ...a tough place where it is quite impossible to overtake (moreover on the 1st lap).

Francesco could not see Fabio on his mirrors, he went from the right side of the track to the left and there was contact between the two cars.

Fabio was behind him and could see Francesco, he should have slower or keep his distance to avoid the contact.

Also, the 3 drivers (including Doni) should be more cautious when rejoining the track after an incident.

. . . So why you did it? Just get on track as fast as you can and race again. . . .
I happened to be passing by, and overheard this quote.  i agree with Florian - guidelines in the past, have asked drivers to return to racing, and not wait for their victims to recover.  Stationary cars can be either a distraction, or an obstruction.

I recently saw it mentioned, we can wait if so desired.  It's the friendly thing to do.  It also puts others in danger, and I've never seen it done, on a real racetrack.  Accidents happen, and I think the best option is to clear the area as fast as possible, and hope no-one else noticed. Grin   Apologies come later if there's a feeling of guilt.

Arf, I only managed to get the tyre temps up to 150f or thereabouts, just out of the dark blue cold stage, but couldn't get those puppies greener. May be due to setup, but also may be due to not drifting these cars enough.

I tried getting the BRM quicker in speed by trying different lines and being more aggressive in qualifying, but only managed a 1:28.5, a time which I matched in the race. I made several mistakes under braking when letting my mind wander, and also missed my braking point at Tarzan when battling someone whose name escapes me (memory like a kitchen thing with holes in it), and collided on exit. Sincere apologies! Doni, you seemed very down on top speed which was either due to gearing or engine damage, it happens and sometimes can't be avoided. I blew the BRM V8 in practice and have no clue how...

Nice to finish, nice to survive, even nicer to finish 5th and only be 1 lap down to the leader. Thought it might be a case of last idiot standing (again), a la Valentino, a race that Dave Rainier conquered!

Do love this place, if only my setup skills were conducive to more productive lap time reductions in all mods.

How typical Martin.

We get within fighting distance of each other and then promptly depart at the same time on lap 17  Huh

Nonetheless I look forward to swopping paint with you at some stage this season  Cool

Congratulations Dean!

Nice to see you get a win after all the tough luck I've seen you have lately.
