The way things are going, if it's a boy, he'll be Karting at 4, making his sponsored International debut at 8, and all washed up and ready to join Ukgpl, at 10.

Pretty exciting GT race. Biff bash bosh. Had 10 seconds to practice Good start and then a crash in front which I threaded through and I thought I had lucked out. But a wicked blue car had other ideas... then Fran caught me I passed him and then went flying - we just wanted the same tarmac I guess. Thought I had left you enough room Fran, sorry if not. Bit hard to judge in these beasties. Another biff from behind at Lesmo 2 and then finally a spin at Parabolica right in front of Cookie who flipped on my lid. Hope it didn't cost him. As I had popped an engine earlier, that was that. Fun while it lasted. Can Ams to come. Oops. Off the start well and then saw a flying car in front of me. Dave didn't so that was our first reset. Then he saw Ronnie (I think) stopped in the middle of Curva Grande. I didn't. Bash. Sorry. Then we set off for what seemed about a million laps of chase pass and re-pass. Mad a bad mistake at Lesmo 1 and rejoined bumpily out of control but with Dave right behind. Went defensive into Parabolica and braked a little earlier to account for the tighter line. Dave was caught by surprise and that was our race. Enjoyed racing you Dave. Sorry it ended like that.

I have some apologies to make here. I was just out of my depth, although what is simpler than Monza?
The start and L1 T1 in both races seemed to be clean. In the GTs there was a coming together near the front in the Lesmos after a few laps and I almost made it through the gap that appeared, but I was tagged again and again and again. Eventually I found myself facing the right way and clear ahead, so I planted my right foot, slewed sideways and collected Paul, who required a reset. Sorry Paul. I had a steady run then and picked up a few places to 5th. Blew the engine in Ascari. Reset and wondered if this series required a stop and go. I did one and lost a few more places. Regained a few places and on the penultimate lap Ronnie in front was wide in CG, so I tried to hug the inside kerb, hit it and spun. As I tried to regain control and limp to the side of the track, Dave Rainier came through and picked the side I was limping towards. Very sorry Dave to end your race there. I reset from upside down (oh dear - 2nd reset - that's me DQ'd), went round to the pits to do another irrelevant stop and go as Axel lapped me and took the chequered flag. Grats for a fine win in that dangerous MKIV.
The Canams were tidy until lap1 Parabolica where a number of us played in the sand having our own incidents. I recovered behind Fran who was very fast on the straights and very slow and wobbly in the corners. After a number of close shaves where it seemed to me that the door was open for a pass and then shut again, I was up the inside in CG with Fran wide, but he cut back across and I had to reset. A few laps later he was wide in and out of Lesmo2, so I went for the inside and he came back across again. In both cases I hadn't come alongside, but Fran if you had kept your line we would have been ok. As the following driver it's all my fault and if it was real life we would be dead, so I'm very sorry about that. A little later I blew the engine and requiring a second reset now knowing the rules, I retired rather than get a DQ again.
I had a comedy moment somewhere following Ronnie into Parabolica. I missed my braking, nearly scalped him and careered headlong into the sand and the hedge. Generally my driving was below par and embarrassing. Sorry to those I tangled with. Thanks for those I raced with and grats to those who did well tonight.

Congratulations Gareth!!
Both races were fairly scrappy for me. Sorry to Axel for the incident in the CanAms, you just took me by surprise and I couldn't react fast enough. Monza just didn't seem to work for me, so I'm glad to be leaving it behind.

Big thanks to Andy for one of those priceless moment in GPL. As I approached my breaking point I looked in my mirrors to see exactly where you were and thought "what the ......." as you closed at warp factor 9!!! Brilliant mate and made my night. Grats to the podiums and to Gareth on the new arrival.

No problem Andy, that was a racing incident. From my opinion, when you have an accident and cars are coming very quickly, the best way is to stay motionless until they have passed. For the GT race, I choose the MK1 ...it is a pleasant car to drive but very slow ! In the CanAm race, I choose the Lola T222, another nice car to drive but a little bit faster . I was in a correct position (6 or 7th ?) when I was violently rear ended by another car at the entry of Curva Grande. I had to reset and did a Stop and go, then I could have no other ambition than just finish the race I think, but not sure, it was Martin still mad dog and I will not report any incident as I have no other ambition on these Friday's race than have fun.

...you just took me by surprise and I couldn't react fast enough.
Hm, I was more than a car lenght ahead, but my earlier lifting for T1 L1 has surprised you I recovered in 10th and had a great race fighting back to 4th in the only McLaren M8B A last minute decision to not take the stronger Motschenbacher Mc as the difference in a lap is not too big. I was surprised to make the drag race from the start to T1 The CA race was great fun fighting with Clive, Martin, Andy and David, but a little dissapointing with my Antipasti teamie Fran who seems to ignore blue flags and to not use pribluda The GT race was a real challenge with the MK4 But in my tamed version it is fun to drive. No problems with overtaking backmarkers but my teamie... Great fun this series! Maybe some heavies need a little help in setting the big beasts up, to not drive the straights in snake lines... PS Is there a red zone?

Race 1 : Dangerous track, but the Chaparral was well sorted, and hopes were high. I knew that given the chance, Cookie would run off, and I'd take a hiding. Also that Chaparrals do not start well. As I feared, it took a vital lap to gain 2nd spot, before trying to haul in a disappearing MkIV, which was really cooking. I failed! A spin mid-race, put Sergio in my place. I was unable to put him in his, until he opened his window at a bad moment? The side swipe was unintended, but Windows had opened the door. I was surprised to survive the contact intact! Did the decent thing, and gave the place back on the final lap, when running out of fuel, approaching Parabolica. Race 2 : Failed to find a setup, that was both fast and forgiving, so opted for neither. Looking good until I was reminded, these Can-Am's don't all brake at the same spot. Managed to help 2 different T222's gain some extra speed, with results not helpful to them. I've no problem with penalties for doing my worst, team Lola. Entirely my mistakes, and not much work for Moderation to sort out. Motor Racing comes, with it's highs and lows. With too much action, by mid-race my tyres were cooked. So, parked it before doing any more damage.

GT race: started good. Lap1 Lesmo1 Maddog spins, Jones couldn’t avoid him, me either. mass chrash .. down to P9 from P4. Lap 2 Jones missed Para by warp ( looks like in replay ) Locarno as well, Frizzo ditto & me too being closed behind Clive, only 67kmh slow but no chance to stop the car from left drifting ( really something modders should work on , more important then have hundreds of mods ,imo ) . well from that point on my Mirage acts horrible. Turns out that severe probs at left rear & minor probs on al other suspension had been the reason. I stopped the race. CanAm race: got again an nice start. P4 after Lesmo 2. But at Lesmo Lap 1 Maddog rearended my LolaT222. P8 then. Got some very nice racing closed behind Livingston& Molten over some number of laps, till they contact each others at Curva Grande . P5 then. Cookie caught me up easily at Lap 11 and coz I missed braking point into Par at Lap 17 I turned out on P7. __________________-- Well, must say I do very much prefer CanAm over GT. Gts don’t brake at all , do left/right swimming on straights and most bad to me : they do lost all grip even so the optimum tyre temp of 123°Celsius isn’t even reached ( 80° Celsius seems to be deadline to overheat) and the optimum hot tyre pressure of 220kpa cant be achieved . BUT could be my cgt.exe is wrong coz pribluda shows me an optimum tyre temp range from 65°C up to 138°C…..

I was the only Chaparral in the GT race Nicky, and up near the front. I suspect it was some other filthy swine, that hurt your chances. EDIT : Lap 2, I scrapped along the armco, and noticed rotational activity behind me.
The way our cars behave is called 'Physics'. Gt physics is a little different from other Mods. The brake lock bug is undesirable. This type of physics has not been repeated. But these have been raced successfully by podium persons - the challenge is a little different.
I don't use Pribluda, as it wasn't available in 1967, and suggest you switch it off.

For me the GT brakelock has occurred very seldom in the last races. I think the main avoiding tactics is to have a stiff front damping ( 9/12 here!) for nearly every GT. This is my Mirage good for a 1:31:76 GT Mirage M1-Ford V8 5.7L F1

PS IMO pribluda is a must, as it helps to "see" what a monitor can't show! I do allways know where an opponent is as I have the distance in meters in the center. In 67 the drivers could turn their heads!
